I would love to be in charge of the Platinum video critique thread :3, and matchups when she comes out. I truly hope BBCSII comes to either Miliptas or Sunnyvale Golfland next month so that I can have my chance at experiencing what she's like and what to do in certain match-ups. Yes, I would be willing to go 1 hr and a 1/2 just to go to the arcade and play Platinum for a few hours on every weekend.

I.. I'm sorry, but this is exactly what you do not do if you would like to be a moderator of a forum. Being a mod isn't about Being Popular [With The] Cool Kids or Fame & Fortune.

Sorry but I do know what a mod is. I did over react which I apologise for but if you don't say anything, then it's less likely that you will become one. Of course I know that mod isn't about being cool and famous. It's about looking after your forums and helping out people if they are in trouble or stuck with something. And that's why I want to become one. Otherwise, I would not be interested in it.

Well, it's not really like that. Me and Omni weren't chosen as Makoto mods because we've asked to be. We try our best helping the board as much as we can and so we were nominated.

Besides, you don't really need to be a mod to help out! The way I see it, the users who frequent and contribute with the board are more valuable than any mod. Therefore, chill brudda.

So I know people are hopping at the chance to add information and gameplay content, but I feel the need to stress: Don't rush, there's plenty of time before she comes out to create a good forum infrastructure.

I am a terrible hypocrite in this matter, as I'm currently in the process of building a general guide and FAQ.

But! Because this forum still lacks a moderator, it will be unrealistic to create and maintain synergy between all the threads.

Therefore. Before creating a thread, I would like to make a personal request that everyone first post the idea and content here so that the community can discuss the need and organization of aforementioned thread.

Please, don't take this as me singling anyone out, I simply don't want things to spin out of control, thus am offering a reasonable suggestion to the community as a whole.

I agree, SOME things are okay to make early on when there is a steady flow of information coming through (Like news on her combos and moves and videos) but thinks that are STRICTLY to a player (F.A.Q, Critique or Oki threads) should be waited on.

And before making a thread it would be a better idea to ask a Administrator for permission to open up a thread, with no Platinum mod yet it is up to administrators to keep everything from being havoc so make sure you check with them first.

What Kourin said. I think that would be a much better system, so things don't get too hectic.

I'm gonna be honest guys, it seems like some of us are trying to rush to be the first person to make these threads. Really, it's not necessary just yet, and it doesn't matter who makes them. Just take it easy, okay?

I had suggested people to wait until actual release to start making threads instead of having many placeholders in the board, but it seems people are way too impatient..

I'm going to shoot the first bullet in here so don't get mad at me for being wrong, but all that hurry to get the threads won't lead you anywhere (auto mod status) if that's what you're thinking. Besides, do remember that if you are maintaining a thread, you'll need to regularly check the thread in order to update it. Not to mention organize it regularly too. It wouldn't be a bit nice to have you make an important thread such as the combo thread (it's just an exemple), and then after some time just dissappear from the Platinum boards because you don't play her anymore and/or was just temporarily hyped about the character.

If you all are aware of this, then it should be fine. After all, it's really nice to see this many people apparently interested in her.

I'd like to come forward and apologize. I set a bad example creating the Video Index to begin with, and really have no place admonishing people. Hopefully, in the future, the Platinum forums can proceed with slightly more foresight among all the hype.

I completely agree Hiago, making a important thread regarding information needs to be kept up at all times and decing to drop a character and thus just leaving behind work isn't good. Since she isn't out yet it isn't good to make massive decisions or bringing attention.

Like the combo thread for example, the only reason I made it early was because the most organized way to make it was for me to open it up and get all the information put in there with links ready and everything set up for when she is OUT, that's why I wanted to stress that no one should post in said thread until it was time to do so, the thread is going to be locked once everything is set in place until it's needed anyway.

So as I said before, the ONLY reason the combo thread was made early was to get things set up in the best manner, not just because I wanted to be the one to make it first.

I'm sorry if it seemed to early for the combo thread, but I feel the most easy and organized way to make the combo thread is to make it the way we discussed it, thus it actually needing to be made. Not because of speculation or fame or hype, but for actual helpful purposes.

But I do apologise for making it so soon.

So long as everyone acts in a well thought out manner based on feedback and lots of discussion, there shouldn't be any problems.
