As far as anime games go, there isn't really much in terms of communities anywhere in Georgia. We had less than 5 people playing BB regularly during the spring. Most other games are pretty dead. There's was that rare instance we had where like 12 people showed up for Melty Blood one night, but that was like right after AACC came out and everyone and their mother had the game. Really, you could probably take a copy of BB and pop it into a console at a local LAN center or something and end up having more people interested in BB by the end of the day than Atlanta has.

There are smaller groups of fighting game players in Augusta (who make fairly frequent trips up to Atlanta for games), Columbus (who I know travel, in addition to having some of the Alabama crew over sometimes), and Savannah. Just have to look.

Well I'll look around in Columbus in 3 weeks. Netplay has been good for me for the past 3 years. If anyone has a 360 you can add me when p4u come out.

Eshi, Skeletal Minion, Dogy, Jdash, and some of the South Carolina crew are on Xbox.

Not sure who out of them are going to be on P4U however.

A.R.K. V is about a month away and we'd love to see all you guys there! We're expecting about 200 people from ~10 different states (including confirmed attendance from Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kansas, Louisiana, California, and Oklahoma) and are throwing in at least $1400 (including $200 to P4A) in bonus pots to support some of our games. It will be on August 25th/26th in Jacksonville, AR with games such as Persona 4 Arena, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, Soul Calibur V, Super Street Fighter IV: AE, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, King of Fighters XIII, Street Fighter X Tekken, Mortal Kombat 9, and SkullGirls.

For more information, visit the official thread here (http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14526-Aug-25-2012-ARK-V!-1400-Bonus-Pots!-Feat-The-Best-of-the-South!-(Jacksonville-AR)) or holler at me. For anyone who wants to come, I heavily encourage you to preregister online at www.arktourney.com/registration before August 18th to save money on venue fee.

I'm posting there just to bump that thread to keep it somewhat active so people know we exist. I'm still going to use here for information (although I guess we could keep the thread more active as well =X )

Hopefully with p4u out we'll see a new wave of activity.

In unrelated news, I've been catching up on my animes lately. Fate/zero seems pretty solid so far. Guess I should've listened to Geoffrey earlier on this one, too...

There are generally people there every week, but the amount of people can be hit or miss. I usually show up a little after midnight because of my work schedule. Since P4A is new, people are always playing that. SF4 and Marvel get play still. Any other game really you need to talk to people and let them know you want to arrange something.

Hey - Been wanting to get better at BB and P4A and GG in general, but my local competition pretty much comes to one friend... and that's about it. Played a little bit at AWA this last weekend and realized I really need some more offline competition against other characters to get better, though I've requested to join the GA ASW Facebook group some time ago, but haven't gotten accepted yet.

Any other way to keep up with the local meetings?

Hey bud, I'm not sure if we played at AWA - but the scene here I'm Georgia is a lot more healthy than this thread implies! I'll bug Chris to let you into the group. Paul and I are hosting some casuals this Saturday in Marietta, and there's always games on Friday nights after around 8:30 at Georgia Tech.

With GG finally on the PSN, I'd love to play with fellow Atlanta folks. Feel free to add me. ^__^

I'll add you the next time I hop on PSN, but after finals week this week, I'll be back home with really terrible internet. I'm not even going to try to play Gear on it. I'll be back in Atlanta in early January once the spring semester starts.

And Jeff, if you get the chance, you should make a thread for Battle at the Bean as well.
