TheBiter Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) The story here (in animated gif form): http://www.norematch.com/images/DustloopChristmasCarol/ note: files are quite big ----------------------- The translation: How many people would appreciate it or would like it if I started match analysis series where I take videos of guilty gear and/or blazblue and provide a high level breakdown of what goes on? I've been playing these fighting games and analyzing videos for nearly a decade now. I have been doing this and teaching various members on dustloop how to play these games in real life on a small scale already. As for how good I am at these games, a few members of this site can attest for my skill level. The type of format I'm thinking of is live stream much akin to what Day9 does already for starcraft 2 however I'm not sure how well that will turn out. It may take some time to stablize. But if people wanted me to make tutorial type videos as well that can be arranged. Thoughts? ----------------------- TL:DR version: Ghosts. Christmas. Bitter old man. Match analysis/tutorial videos. Yes/no? Edited December 27, 2010 by TheBiter
shtkn Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 feel free to create threads for this stuff in the bb/gg gameplay sections. we'll see how it goes from there. i suggest you take existing videos so you can 'tivo' it to replay specific sections to elaborate on whatever it is you want to discuss. maybe even draw lines and stuff like john madden haha.
TGS Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) Yes. For starters, do a highlight match for one of BB and GG first to gauge the reaction (and I'll put it up on the front page). For BB I suggest the Tsujikawa/Satoshi SBO final match, and for GG I suggest any FAB match where he wins an insanely lopsided matchup (i.e. vs. Shounen/Ogawa etc.). Edited December 27, 2010 by TGS
brett_ Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Awesome idea. While I think a focus on gg would be great, I think using bb player submitted replays would be a great addition, as it is something that BB offers which you cannot get from GG, similar to newbie tuesdays by day9. an emphasis on lower-level play and how to improve / step up your game in an broad sense would be great, especially while utilizing viewing match submitted by the players themselves who want to learn. Breaking down and really stepping back to look at a tangible player's set of strengths and weaknesses sounds like a great way to help improve oneself. looking forward to it.
