I'm flying in to Newark and then apparently United booked me a train to PA from there. Which would be fine except the train station, unlike the airport, is not near the Clarion. I get in at 5:29 PM on thursday.

I actually wasn't aware that airlines routing you onto trains was an option until I checked the itinerary more closely. But yeah apparently. Thus far you seem to be winning the bidding though, 7:30 is better than the next-best offer of 8:00. But it's cheaper to pay gas money than get a cab, so here's hoping the train station has wi-fi.
