OK.

So I'm going to have Fatbird and Glod with me, and all three of us will be coming a little late, like about a half hour or so. So we'll probably be there around 7:30.

Nice turnout tonight guys. Also a surprising amount of hype for BB! I hope those guys I talked to show up on friday. It was nice to actually sit down and play some BB on a box arena night for once too.

We used to be REALLY into BB at our school. It was easily the most hype tournament we threw every quarter. We have about 6-7 people who where at the same level as the three guys you played tonight. Nobody was really enthused about it when Extend came around though. We all played different characters too Tsubaki, Bang, Rachel, Jin, Hakumen, Mokoto, Mu, and Valkenhyn are all represented. Its just a matter of getting everyone excited about the game again and then getting that muscle memory back.

Also GGs on Skullgirls. I really enjoyed watching Fat Bird and Dios X grand finals. I'll see you guys Friday to get some more games in and hopefully make a better showing next Tuesday. Finding myself really regretting not going out to these sort of events more when I lived in town.

ggs to the dustloop guys at skullgirls last night. fatbird making the matches really clutch. hope skullgirls continues to get good numbers as it already has replaced SFxT on the box arena game line up. it even got more numbers than marvel this week. crazy!

one of these days i'll actually sit down and learn combos so i can stop being free to everyone in tourney

also, nice to meet some new faces for bb yesterday. I won't be there this friday sadly, but i hope to see you guys again on tuesday or next friday

Once summer break hits, I'll prolly devote more time into Skullgirls and hopefully even KoF. But for now, it's BB, MB, and SC5 for me, although my BB skills are starting to rust since my friend still has my game.

Okay so assuming I can leave for casuals this Friday again, I'll be bringing another friend along, the one who borrowed my copy of CSEX. Hopefully my two other friends would be willing to go, as well as Watermelonz's friends despite him not going to show up this Friday.

Watermelonz couldn't come to Tuesday. I'm pretty sure he is coming on Friday.

Also, for anyone lurking this thread but hasn't posted, is from someplace else, etc I'm making this announcement formal now:

We are having our first actual Blazblue tournament this Friday, May 4th. As demonstrated by our Stylish Unlimited tournament we had last time for shits and giggles, we now have enough people to run a reasonably sized bracket (15ish), so now we are going to actually have a legit tournament with cash on the line.

Rules are standard fare:

- $5 entry fee

- Pot is split 70/20/10

- Best 2 out of 3 games

- Grand Finals best 3 out of 5 games

- Double elimination

- Winner must keep character, loser can change

- No Unlimited or Stylish this time (sorry guys)

Registrations start when we all show up there, which will be at 7PM, tournament will start at 8PM.

We'll be having another tournament with the same setup the week after, Friday May 11th, and so on until we don't have enough people anymore. If at all possible I'd like Shtkn to break out that Hauppage and record some games on the May 11th tournament, since he isn't going to be present for the one this Friday.

Tell your friends, tell your parents, tell your kids, tell bums you meet on the street. We want as much turnout as possible to these things. I've posted in the Socal FB group about it, but considering how uninterested they've been in our casuals, I wouldn't count on them showing up. Maybe cash money will change their minds.

Last thing is, the owner of Frubble informed me last night that we were double booked with some religious group two weeks from this Friday, which should be the 18th, if I understood him correctly. So be prepared to be a bit more low key that night.

See you this Friday guys. Get hype.

I'll be able to come this Friday. Buddy, on the other hand, has told me that he'll be busy with other stuff this Friday and won't be able to make it.

i'm nto sure if the equipment i have can work for live recording (to say nothing about streaming), but i will fiddle around with my equipment tonight and see if it is sufficient.

Cool, thanks Shtkn. Yeah, steaming is obviously not going to happen, but I just wanted to see if we could get recordings going. We've talked about it for a while, especially when we have shenanigans happen on screen. I figured now that we're having a tournament, now would be a good time to give it a shot.

i think i can show up now (albeit a bit later) so i can pick up dana if he's willing to wait.

also, do any of you guys have a tv that can take in component? that's the only way i can use my dvr to record matches without buying more hardware.

I might be able to borrow a monitor from a friend on Fridays, so we're not always short on monitors. It's an Acer and I don't know if it'll have any lag, but it shouldn't be too bad.
