Glod's seen my only monitor, and it's a bit large, plus it's Samsung. Not even really sure if it lags or not.

Sorry I couldn't make it guys. My original plan was to drive straight to Frubble after watching The Avengers with friends, but my bad case of mild headache and dry cough that I've been having for about 3 days now overtook me and warranted some rest so I decided to drive straight home.

And I don't think my friends and Watermelonz's friends can come to gatherings until finals are over, same should hold for me as well but I'll try to make it next Friday regardless.

Not enough of our group could had money for Tajima so we all just went home. GG's tonight in Skullgirls. Those were some real tense fights with your M.Fortune Wallice. And I hope the rest of the guys from Ai continue to make it out to these after I go back to Dallas and can't give them rides anymore. They all had a really good time tonight.

Tonight was some good stuff. I am always glad to see new faces, i'm glad everyone could make it out. I hope everyone continues to come out, too! Sounds like tournaments will be a regular thing, and we might be picking up Guilty Gear again (and Arcana Heart?) next friday from the looks of things! So if anyone's lurking and wants to play GG, AH3, definitely post and try to make it out next week!

Also Jackie Chan! Very fun game.

I am really proud of everyone for making these meetups as big as they are now. I'm super thankful to everyone that comes out and plays, it gives me something to look forward to at the end of the week during hard times. I'm really going to miss these meetups during summer. So let's make next week amazing, since I won't be around for a while after that.

I can't wait for the Waifu Wars to begin.

I was gonna shit talk Ichi a bit for not showing up, but if you're sick, then you're sick. Hope you get better bro.

As always, good shit tonight guys. Moosejaw, we figured it was cause you guys wanted to actually sleep while it was still night time so you all went home, its no biggie. Yeah, our matches were crazy. That was honestly the most fun I've had in Skullgirls since it came out. Having all the guys from the Arts Institute come out and participate really helped out. I really hope they continue to come to our meetups.

So, we met up with a bunch of people at Tajima who were like "yo, you guys go to dustloop?" Turns out they play Guilty Gear and would like to get together to play it next week, so get hype. Its really exciting to see how much this scene is growing. Running those two tournaments tonight was really fun and took all our time. It'll be pretty crazy adding GG to that mix. I'm really happy about that. Lets keep growing the scene and make it into something we can be proud of, and of course, brag about to other scenes.

Yeah I'll definitely pick up AH3 again if people want to play it. I'm still not convinced that there is a game more anime than that. MB is maybe a close second. I dunno.

Is there anybody here interested in playing Ougon Musou Kyoko, or Seacats as bellreisa and a few other people have called it, or dare I ask even Vanguard Princess? If so then I wouldn't mind practicing playing those games as well assuming there's enough interest, same goes for MB and AH3 again.

I'll mash any game once. I don't really have any experience with any of those games but I'll try them and see if I like them. Go ahead and bring whatever necessary stuff to play them.

Also: Regarding our new "Kusoge setup" idea. If anyone knows any fighting games that aren't really good but might be fun to mash in for a little while, feel free to suggest them. Or any smaller fighting game that you don't think people would main or take seriously, but still want to play. I know we have plans for Jackie Chan: Fists of Fire, Karnov's Revenge, and Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game.

I heard someone want to play Wonderful World but said it wasn't really a crap game.

Can we add the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers fighter (w/ Ooze banned, seriously -_-) to the list. Or even better, let's have a Goldeneye 007 tournament and have the old way of split screen with cardboard divider.

I really can't type or play my Valentine/Double team much today, my body feels like it went through hell and back twice from my black belt test.

Dana, you better learn how use chopsticks before we'll duct tape them to your fingers till you learn. For god sakes it's just two wooden sticks, they are not magical.(Unless some of want consider yourself as a mahou shoujo.)

On my laptop I have Melty Blood, Eternal Fighter Zero, both Touhou Fighters, and Vanguard Princess. If anyone is interested in any of those I'm down for some games.

Also, I'm still salty as fuck about Friday. GGs though, I had lots of fun.

No, I agree. I think for now we should focus on:

BlazBlue

Skullgirls

Melty Blood

Guilty Gear

Arcana Heart 3 (I can provide this setup until I have to leave for summer, also we'll see how interested people actually are in it)

King of Fighters XIII (I know MooseJaw and the people he brings play this, Wallice plays this, Roa and Ichi play this but not much. Jinxhand plays this, if he can show up on friday.) I'd like to run this because I know there are people who play this in San Diego, it's just a matter of getting them out on Friday.

If we're going to be running tournaments weekly, one laptop is going to be taken up basically the whole time by tio (tournament organizer) so that might be all we want to run "regularly". I was thinking maybe run tournaments biweekly, but what does everyone else think? Not that it matters too much to me since this Friday will be my last Friday meetup until fall semester. I just want to get things as organized as possible before I leave. I'm fairly confident that even when people leave for summer, there will still be enough people to keep the meetups going over summer.

I think we are getting ahead of ourselves even with that lineup Glod. Blazblue and Skullgirls are going to be games we are ALWAYS running. Blazblue because all of us play it, and Skullgirls because it is a sub game for several of us and it brings in new people, which is extremely important if we don't want to be double booked anymore. That said, with our conversation with those GG players outside of Tajima, having GG be part of the lineup that is always being run is a really good idea, provided we actually get people for it in the next session or the session after. We also have to address the tv problem, since ps2 isn't gonna work with the asus monitors we all bring with us.

I like KoF, and beyond Blazblue it is the only game I take seriously, but the issue of getting enough people to play it is there. Moosejaw's friends will play, and I will play, but I only think its worthwhile if we can get the other KoF players down here who go to comic odyssey to show up. I'm going to discuss this with Jinx on Monday if CO is a go.

I also don't know about Arcana Heart. It seemed to have a decent enough amount of people on that station last week, but if we want to run it more seriously, stations will become a big issue. We already tend to have some issues with what stations are Skullgirls and what stations are BB, I don't want to exacerbate that problem by adding Arcana to the mix. Remember, we don't want to go fifty different directions with what games we play, especially if it leads to nobody playing our main game, BB. I think we should stay more focused, it seemed like last night we were a bit all over the place.

My plan with the Kusoge setup was just to have it running after the tournament(s) finish so that people can goof around on games like Jackie Chan or Karnov's. This didn't really materialize on Friday because we ran two tournaments one after the other rather than simultaneously. Running tournaments simultaneously is my go-to plan from now on. Otherwise we end up running shit till the very last minute, and I think everyone would appreciate having a few hours to play casuals and dick around. Its at this point that I'd say just play whatever game you want.

Anyway, thats all I have to say about that. Now I'm gonna post the results from our tournaments on Friday.

Yeah, fair enough. Let's get the Guilty Gear situation figured out first, since I know we've had people asking about that in the past, and now those guys we met at Tajima. I have a CRT, but again I'd only be able to bring it this Friday, and it might be awkward to bring if I'm also getting a ride, so I'm going to have to ask that someone else cover the TV. I can supply a PS2 if we need one, but other than that I can't be much help since I don't have the game.

Another option is the PC version, if there is one of Accent Core. I know there's a PC version of reload, so if there's one for Accent Core as well, it might be easier to run a laptop setup. Stuff to think about.

Sorry for getting ahead of myself, I'm just excited to play ALL THE ANIME GAMES.
