AMB Bakery Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 The only one I know of was the arcadia version which had Seth at top and Merkava at bottom so... yeah, I don't trust it. After Carmine/Yuzu it was Vatista, then Merkava and Orie, after that I don't know exactly. Might as well have been irrelevant past that. Even though people shit themselves and made a big deal about Linne having forever-combos/infinites, she was one of the worst characters in the game along with Gordeau and Waldstein.
caiooa Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I don't think I ever saw a real tier list because of all the hilarious bs in the game. you know that the aime card colect all the data of win/lose, right? http://sp.uniapm.info/ in the last version, the top spot alternated quite frequently betwen walldetein, sion, vatista and gordeau. The bottom spot was for hilda, no contest. Plus she was the the least used char, while yuzihira and linne where the most popular characters. After the update, things are far from stable. The influx of new players screw completely with win/lose per chars. Popular character problems....yuzuhira droped to the bottom of the chart for beeing so popular with begginers in the first day of ex-late. The same thing goes for chaos. In the other side, walldetein, sion and gordeau are alternating in the top spot of ex-late. Will take a time to stabilize.
AMB Bakery Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) I guess if you want something that's close to an official tier list from purely empirical results, yeah that site is the way to go. I think it's misrepresentative of which characters are good though. If what you say is true about the last version's top spot, then that would lead someone to believe that Waldstein and Gordeau were good characters last version. Anyone who saw even one tournament could tell you that wasn't the case, and top player tier lists (at least the arcadia one) even argued that those two were the worst characters in the game. EDIT: Also, if you're just looking at the RIP/Win ranking, that's just for individual players, mind you, and is again not representative of tiers or character strength. EDIT 2: I'm guessing the "diagram" is supposed to be the match-up data so far? That checks out, but what I've said earlier still stands. Edited September 9, 2013 by AMB Bakery I r dumb
caiooa Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 yes, it's brute data. But it clear a lot of mistakes, as you are seeing the data from all japanese arcades, not of a single one that upload videos of their torneys (like, in youtube, just a-cho). Plus, it let anyone make their own interpretation, nobody needs to stick to the opinion of the player A or B. It's identical to the system used in ggxxac+r, and even guilds were added now. And yes, i was looking for diagram. You can enter in per-char diagram to look at the win/loss of each matchup of the game. The coolest thing is seeing how it fluctuates with the evolution of the game (people learning to play/ discovering new tech stuff/getting more consistent)
Diveman Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I still remember how Carmine was considered super low tier at the beginning

This is an aggregation of data from all levels of play. There's no way to use that sample for a tier list.
Hecatom Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 Word. For example, lets say that Waldheim is low (just an example), but some of the best players of him play on areas where they beast all the other players since they are not near their level, lets also say that the people who represent the top tier on siad areas are actually bad, so they bring down the media for those at the top, while those players of Wald skew the values for him since they tend to win more against top tier characters due the lack of good players on the area.
Betto Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 wow what http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21796542
TekkamanArk Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Huh, so it looks like it removes the limit on the amount of jumps she can make, and she's using the air projectiles for extra hang-time.

Hecatom Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 Vatista-chan permanet fly (Youtube) http://youtu.be/zWgYHSWgBzI NICE Great, another way to waste the round time ¬¬ There is nothing wrong on running away man
Diveman Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 hahahahaha So not only Vatista is loli sentinel but ALSO loli storm? yo
Salv000 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Great, another way to waste the round time ¬¬ Nah nothing to worry about. Something like this has to be patched. It would be to broken and boring if all Vatista had to do was get in a good poke and flee for the rest of the round.
『Joshl92』 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 So any chance of a console port being announced soon? With training mode, survival, and time attack being added recently and TGS being around the corner, it seems like its possible.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Unofficially, we know that they plan on bringing the game to PS3 in early 2014 but they haven't formally announced it.
Star-Demon Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) In DOTA it's hard to take so much data from character abilities and forge it into tiers. As well, the results available are quite substantial game-wide, but the same issue comes up over and over - the games stats don't make sense when you put it into perspective. My favorite Tier list, and the one that I think lends most to real discussion is simple: the one that counts actual competitive picks. Nothing else. All the ones that count matchups and KDA and other stats are worthless in the long run and don't foster appreciation for the game or characters' potential. TL;DR - we should do this. Abelcru Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 CHAOS STORY MODE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-blES6Ff_U
Diveman Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Anyone knows the changes made to Carmine? if he was the best in "vanilla" I guess they took some stuff out but gave him other things in return
caiooa Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 (edited) new videos are showing up http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21826551 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21826678 Word. -they do have a national torney (hydra gp series-http://hydragp.info/), with classificatory in different arcade stores. In them, at the last stages, people from different end up playing against each others. Sometimes, someone that think he can't win the classificatory of his area go to other places to try taking the spot for the finals. -the players ranked as the n°1-3 of every character have done really well in them. Except hilda players (and chaos/akatsuki, that weren't playable until this month). -the walldestein, sion and the n°1 of vatista have done well consistently, staying in top 5 in all hydra gps of unib combining this with the n°1 hilda player beeing a regular of a-cho dan'issens...the scenario that you described is exactly what is happening for hilda. I believe Hilda isn't the last used character for nothing, or that she is the last spot of matchup chart for nothing. It's just that a player of a-cho that uses her is in a different level from the opponents he can find in that area, in a-cho. And that a-cho is one of the onlys (if not the only) arcade that upload videos regularly in youtube. But i'm not saying "power levels" can be figured out so quickly, specialy seening a so recent version up. It's not like there's a static tier list....people discover stuff with time, and sometimes a character is ranked high because a player is much better than others, and not because the character is better. This is one of the reasons why i hate talking about tiers at all...jus matchups. Edited September 14, 2013 by caiooa
TekkamanArk Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Are there any match videos for Akatsuki yet in UNIB?
Betto Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 (edited) Those plates! Haha, too good. I would lose my shit if there were plates like those for the male characters LOL Edited September 14, 2013 by Betto
