Skyheartxia Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I missed the UniB stuff, but it looks like I didn't really miss anything. you missed dropped combos ;-; i guess it was just a promo stream. fair play to them!
RurouniLoneWolf Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 It's sort of disappointing that we haven't at least heard when they plan to do their next stream yet. Maybe they're falling behind ;.; Oh well, nothing to do but wait
Kurushii Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 AND ITS A CONSOLE DATE ANNOU-no it's just a CD. still worth it.The CD shown was released back in 2012.
Skyheartxia Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 The CD shown was released back in 2012. i only just found out :x silly me. just a promotional thing then. thats cool
F. Wily Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 AND ITS A CONSOLE DATE ANNOU- no it's just a CD. still worth it. Did they update the CD? The current OST has all the themes of the vanilla cast, so I wonder if the contents changed. Mind you that would be a lot to go through for the three themes that are missing.

Sourenga Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 http://d.hatena.ne.jp/French-Bread/20140411 So, here's a pretty rushed translation... Typos everywhere (probably) And the classic Q&A will be held next week on the official site. Jobs of the Spring Situation of the Production: It's been half-a-year! Don't be angry with me, we've been spreading info on Twitter instead on this blog. Spring is a season of new semester and new jobs, so... We're thinking about hiring more people, since our old projects keep expanding themselves and new projects have started. You, who thinks there's nothing to do! If you have motivation and confidence in your skills, please apply to us. More details about applying on the French Bread's homepage. Send us something like "I can do something like this. Is there anything I could help you with?" Calling this "Hiring people" is a bit exaggerated, but please send us a casual application like "Let's create something totally new!" Now that I think about it, it has been three years since we started with UNI (It's ironic how easily you can remember it if you just remember that big earthquake). When we hired people then, we still ask them to do something now and then. To think really easily pissed-off youngsters who were, like "You just horrible! Are you even motivated!" have turned into splendid guys, like "I have nothing to complain about... I'm really sorry I acted all high and mighty back then. Oh, could it be you're still angry from what I said?" I think the growth of these youngsters is kinda frightening... but they really made me remember how fun it is to take part in the production in this industry. And so on... We'll be waiting for your application to create great games together. Other stuff...Dengeki FC: It has just started to operate in the arcades, so I'm not sure if I should say "Congratulations for releasing the game", "Thanks for playing the game" or "Go and try the game out". As the official sources may have hinted, we have a vision of giving the game updates on an ongoing basis, so look forward to them. When I look our development unit from here, I'm like "Oh, we're going to add this next..." Whoa, someone's here! I'll mention this in the end, but... French Bread doesn't really give any information about the game. It's not that we aren't motivated to give info, but we have forced ourselves not to tell anything, so please understand. Information will be published on the official homepage and the official Twitter account.UNI Tournament was just a while ago: Thank you very much for all the participants. There were many qualifiers, and I watched some of them, but... Thank you for being so excited about the game. Arcade version has sttled down a little, and if we stay in the schedule then soon... Whoa, someone's here again! This situation isn't like before and we can't talk freely anymore. If you excuse me...MelBlo Tournament is just around the corner: It's an amazing tournament that everyone is going to retort first, like "How come it's a national tournament even though you haven't held the qualifiers in Hokkaido and Kyuushuu!" During the Golden Week, on May 5th the finals will be held... People involved with the game should take care of these... Seriously. Sales, Business and Communication... Yeah... And so, we have settled down a little so wrote up all kinds of things. Please continue to support us.
Surf Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 That's not cute. It was at first but they're constantly doing it now. And it's freaking annoying. Hinting or teasing the console announcement/arcade update just for them not to. I can understand them being busy with Dengeki or needing to be tight lipped but really, what are they doing. Both Xrd and Ultimax are coming some time in 2014 and 2014 is already nearing the end of it's first quarter. The longer the bigger chance they have directly competing with the two aforementioned games and the lower the sales will be. Releasing UNiB around now after CP has been out for a couple months and before Xrd and Ultimax comes out would be good. Japan doesn't go crazy for console update, but having UNiB release around the same time window as the two other fighters WILL NOT help it's sales in the least. They've kept us on the edge for way too long. I'll still buy the game when it comes out. But my hype for it has dropped drastically. What happened at the recent tourney just left a horrible taste in my mouth But thanks for the translation Sourenga, I was about to post in here asking if any new news popped up
Skyheartxia Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Snip wow, thanks Sourenga! it's really appreciated. this updates pretty interesting, especially the applications going out. the little teases are quite cute, tbh. shows the company is like 'WE'RE DOING SOMETHING OKAY STOP BITCHING ABOUT US'. but i wish them all luck with further ventures. the one thing that caught my eye is "Arcade version has settled down a little." thats a shame, if its implying what i think. hopefully more new people start to pick it up. but maybe that might help them with a push towards console with Ecole as publisher.
Tachyons Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I think what they mean for settled down is that there's no lolbroke stuff, in other words there's a stability with the current balance version. I would not be surprised if/when they release the console version they're gonna change up the balance again. That seems to do well with Melty Blood's console releases.
TAI-X Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I've given up hope that UNIB will ever recieve a console release, and FB's contractual obligations with Sega and Dengeki are probably to blame. I think its only remaining chance for making it out of the arcades would be a latecomer PC release at least a couple years from now, after the game's arcade scene has completely dried up. They may need the urging of a Western indie publisher to put it out. The PC isn't a good platform for fighting games but it's a whole lot better than nothing.
Sourenga Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm23317627 ( Youtube version) No. 6 Hilda player "boogie" posted first ever (!?) Hilda combo movie. Cool stuff, that 8k neta combo against Waldstein was really something.
Sourenga Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm23329253 Today is Hyde-kyun's birthday so No. 11 Hyde player "Mebius" posted a new combo movie.

Supposed Famitsu leak: Apparently a PS3 version coming in July with the port done by Arc System Works. Features a new playable character who is a wind user girl. If true, thank you based Arc for supporting French Bread.
Starlight777 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 If that leak is to be believed then that means they saved Nanase (wind-girl's name?) for the console port.
Wokker Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Im gonna wait on the official announcement. I don't trust leaks and rumors.
Tokkan Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 http://gematsu.com/2014/04/night-birth-coming-ps3-japan-july Yeah, character is probably Nanase.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Oh god, it's finally happening. Hope this is true.
White Man Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 http://gematsu.com/2014/04/night-birth-coming-ps3-japan-july Hey, cool. If ASW is handling the port, that'd be great news. I'm not what you'd call an Arcana Heart fan, but it looks like they did an amazing job with the port of AH3. So... What are the odds of this actually getting localized outside Japan?
TheArm05 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 So... What are the odds of this actually getting localized outside Japan? Pretty low unless they get some ridiculous sales numbers (they won't). THEY BETTER NOT REGION LOCK THIS IS ALL I AM SAYING.
