you could only turtle in CT because you could just sit there like a tank and 6A the shit out of anyone that tried to get close, and you were strong up close even if they got in

in CS you have to constantly adjust your spacing to keep them at max range so its more like zoning

Anyways, NEW IDEA. SINCE PLAYERS ARE OPPOSED TO BANNING OTHER PLAYERS, WE WILL JUST BAN THEIR CHARACTERS.

So for example kirbster's rachel is banned, meaning he will have to step it up, and we will get matchup exp from another char.

While the idea is nice, our community isn't big enough to facilitate this. The SF community works because there's just so many players so cutting a few off isn't a big deal and there's at least 2 people per character, so top players can give at least moderately useful advice to lesser skilled players.

But how would kirbster help a carl player? The scene isn't even big enough that there's 1 person to each character. That itself nullifies the whole idea. Secondly if we cut said players that's a good 1/3 of the regular attending tournament players.

Probably other issues but can't think of them I'm tired.

I'm still not convinced the new challengers tournament is a good idea. I mean we all still need practice especially those going to NEC, and not only would it stop some of the concerned people from picking their mains, but it would stop the others from facing them in the tournament as well.

On another note, I finally received my second evo monitor, just in time for umvc3 and foonzo's month off. I also got all the cables, except for steb's 50ft ethernet for whatever reason (maybe they'll send it in another package? it's not on the bill for the stuff in the box I got, but it's on the bill I received by email)
