AirMaster Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Bakatsuki army will not be present this friday. RIP.
raiyan Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 But the scrubbiest bb/uniel player will be there this friday. As long as no assignment are given out last minute. Wanna work on my mind game rather than combos this time. Also pedro, you interested in jaming a bit? Ive had no time to play recently and im jonesing to play.
pochp Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 You can't skip that far ahead yet. Until you can convert good calls into decent offense/damage/knockdown consistently and are somewhat comfortable with movement/positioning/matchups, there's no point in focusing on mind games. The opponent won't care for them because there's no weight in your decisions. I hope these analogies from indiana jones help you understand :http://pilateschattanooga.com/files/7813/4986/9649/indiana-jones-gun-beats-sword-o.gifhttp://stream1.gifsoup.com/view/1037068/indiana-jones-boulder-o.gifI am down to jam a bit though, anything in mind? Let's discuss that on twitter or sankshin though, as to not clutter this thread.
DerQ Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 The opponent won't care for them because there's no weight in your decisions.  That was conveyed so beautifully in so little words. Very elegant
raiyan Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Wrong word choice then. What you said about spacing and zoning is what i ment by mind games. I thought the term also related to personal choices and going "oh i can do this now" not so much being able tl execute it, but more actualizing what options i have
Icekin Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Alternatively, play Gordeau, learn one BnB and suddenly all your decisions have weight.
DerQ Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Oh then I'd say it's a lot more homework and reflecting. Insights and pointing stuff out leave you with ideas to do your homework with more so than something to keep in mind while playing. I don't mind you asking for those heads up or taking what's given, but I know it's better for me to let these thoughts simmer on low heat for sometime before they get anywhere. I just don't see how it can be assimilated in one evening.
BabelNose Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Alternatively, play Gordeau, learn one BnB and suddenly all your decisions have weight. Haha yeah I picked him up because... you know... he cool. Â But yeah the neutral game with him is insane one wrong move and I get wreckd. Super fun though
ReynTime180 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Playing uniel online reminds me of why I stopped playing uniel online
Daisy-Fan Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Am thinking maybe to go for Apex 2015, not sure if its worth it.
DerQ Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 It's smackdown 15th anniversary episode this friday. Yoooooo
Nedel_3773 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Aux gens qui considèrent venir à TR en novembre, voici un incitatif (I'm looking at you DerQ): Au menu en soirée, yaura des samosa et de la poutine maison au porc éffiloché À LA BIÈRE. Also video games and stuff.
GreeniX Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 OUI MA LA BIÈRE DERQ, LA BIÈRE  RE: Decisions having weight behind them This was really well said by Pedro. As a specific example, I think knowing an easy hard-hitting punish combo and landing it when you are given the opportunity goes a long way. When asking yourself "My opponents don't respect my pressure and mixups, why won't they just sit tight so I can learn how to actually hitconfirm this shit?", you'll often find the answer is either that you're not making them pay hard enough often enough, or that they are playing Azrael and don't have to care.  RE: New people asking for training partners Hi! I play games with people over the internet. It's kind of a thing I do! My PSN is GrappleIguana but I don't really pop my PS3 open and look if people message me there, which is where the next matter comes in handy. We have our local community website forum over here http://www.sankishin.com/board/index.php and if you log in you can find a Mini-Chat button in the upper right, and this will open a wonderful realm of possibilities. Most evenings I'm lurking in there, as are other people who may be willing to play various games, so ask away!
Nedel_3773 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 @DerQ: Msemblais bien que j'avais l'impression que c'est ce qui se passerait
