Hello and welcome o/

Yes we do, we currently do two kinds of meetups. Pochp and brice host meetups at their place bi weekly and there are also bi weekly meetups at smashloft (our current venue) so it alternates between the two every week. Details are always posted here in advance to each meetup.

As for games we have alot of guilty gear xrd players but we also play alot of other games like blazblue persona gg ac+r etc... if you are interested in broadening ur horizons [emoji14]

Oh yeah we do. Right now we switch between tourneys at the smashloft and meetup casuals in cote-des-neiges. I think we're moving the day for tournaments to satursday soon though, so we might be going back to weekly casuals on top.

And UNIEL! It died down after Xrd, but the game's picking up steam again, with the western release just about to hit.

I gotta grind to beat Rikir next time.

That kinda hit me when I was looking at Rikir's blockstrings. You see him sandwich people between Chaos and Ahzi and he just unloads this never-ending string of hits that knock you back and forth, and it looks super impressive.

Then you realize "Wait, this is all lows and mids. This isn't a mixup, it's just pressure in a game where blocking is REALLY good."

Same with using Ahzi to lock someone down while Chaos jumps and uses air moves for double overheads. Looks cool! And you can just shield it and kill his pressure dead.

 

99% of the time when you get hit by Chaos, you think "I should have just blocked instead of pushing buttons". Actually, that's probably true for most situations in the game.

Yeah theres no mixup at all usually LOL. The best mixup I can do is make Azhi hide and then cross over roll in those situations. Otherwise its all just really long frame traps with a little bit of chip damage.

Hi. We're hosting Tuesday this week. 6:30 pm to 11pm. Post up if you're interested in coming, so I get an idea of how many can make it. Need more practice for KSB, and not just in Xrd!

 

Also Friday, 6:30pm onwards, as usual.
