Hey guys,

Kind of random question.

Since it looks like Toronto isn't doing EVO this year some of us are thinking of heading your way at some point this summer. Are you guys going to be hosting a tournament this summer, or is the big event Otaku-Thon?

well we have UMAD (Ultimate Montreal Airdashers)

but no details about the tournament yet.

Oh sweet. UMAD is happening this year? We weren't sure if that was going down. If that's the case, that's the tournament we'll likely be aiming to make it down to.

Yo, guess I might as well address a couple of these issues at once.

1. We don't go to Foonzo anymore, so losing that venue makes it harder to organize events like that.

2. I don't know much about this year's Otakuthon, I mean it's a convention (you guys know the deal), and we aren't involved in the organization of the tournaments. It's usually a lot of fun, but since it's the same weekend as Heavy Montreal this year, I might not go (or only go for the FLOW concert or something hehe).

3. HOWEVER, there is a chance we can make something happen at our new venue, Smashloft. If you guys want to come this summer, we could hype up one of our monthly events, this might give even more incentive for other nearby scenes to make it out too. It could be very similar to UMAD in the sense that we can drink there, and the venue size is a but smaller, but comparable. Nothing confirmed yet, but if it sounds interesting for you guys, I'll talk with the guys running the place and see what we can do.

Thanks for the heads up Pedro.

I'll talk to the Toronto boys and see how many people are interested. Coming down for a big monthly at a similar venue to Foonzo sounds super fun though so it shouldn't be a hard sell.

Shoutouts to the other Chaos player at the bi-weekly. Come chat on the Chaos thread on dustloop! :P
we also have a Chaos skype group! lol

Venue size being a bit smaller sounds like an understatement. I wouldn't want to be in there with 30+ people. Hype up a monthly, sure, but... don't hype it up too much.

I disagree, if the space in the back is cleaned up and used correctly it would be sufficent. I can reasonably picture at least 7 setups in the front and 5 in the back, meaning 22 people could be playing simultaneously. Don't worry, I doubt numbers will be too high. Smash weeklies can get 80 ppl in there and although it's somewhat uncomfortable, it fits, and we won't get close to that.

Poverty happens in the hallway then? Gotta have them separated if we're to use the back.

how about poverty in the bathtub also lets go.

I mean you can qualify some of the things I do and say as "shitting on things other enjoy"

That's pushing it though. I think
