Catch is my gut is telling me to go, but school and the hyperbole can't me from going to HQ, but going to the meeting doesn't make me more likely to get hired either. So I'm debating on going to HQ or not, now that's it's closing each time is precious...

You'll never know if you were to get hired or not if you don't show up, LOL. And yeah, I will, someday, somehow, at some time....

I'll keep you guys updated tomorrow, depends on how much work I have to do, but I might be able to leave earlier than that as well. @Blade: My thoughts on that are: we don't have a lot of people attending meetups lately, so no point, however this may change. We're going to transition to Foonzo shortly, so we should probably do one last HQ tournament. Once we start hanging out at Foonzo, our scene might have a bit more exposure, so if we can set up a poster saying "BBCS2 tournament on august 6th" (for example), we might actually attract more randoms, make the scene grow, take more people's money. What I would have liked to have started was a Danisen league at the HQ, but like I said, attendance has been rather bad recently, so maybe we could start it at Foonzo once we start going there. This might attract more randoms into trying out the game. Remember, danisen league is free, and people enter it with multiple characters if they chose to, so anyone can find an "opponent" of their level.

I don't care if there is no entry fee I'll buy cookies but we really need those tourney nerves power leveled asap we have strong players in mtl, really strong, but when a tournament happens with some real money on the side they go 0-2 ( looking at pedro and steb in particular since I always go to tournaments with them :P) they're good opponents in casuals but when stress gets in, some people just crack and do poorly as fuck... it might be retard for me but I'd do a tourney every 2 weeks just so we can be relaxed when entering a major tournament and not get stopped by those useless tourney nerves... it's all good going into training mode but playing REAL stressful match is the fastest and most certain way to know that you're getting better. saying you can do every combo of x characters but can't land more than a third in a tourney match means absolutely nothing But that's my opinion :P

Brice Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 double post but with a good reason :P in the following week I will ask my boss to be able to not work on the day(s) of regular meetups. are you guys thinking we should stay at Thursdays and Sundays? or should we switch for the summer considering not all of us have a job/matters to attend regularly... and that we won't have hq anymore cuz I don't see why we should stay on a day that most people have difficulty to comply with when another day might suit the majority... give me input as soon as you can so I can be able to make arrangements to support the community as much as I can :D

We should hold biweekly ranbats and shit at the very least. We need more tourneys, people need to get accustomed to tourney nerves and shit. MTLSF holds a lot of tourneys, we should be doing stuff like that. Of course, there should be mullah involved. People don't feel the pressure if there's nothing to lose or gain.

I think I'll be able to open the HQ around 5 tonight, got dem new pokemans and kof on my laptop. But we're playing BB. ok? plz guys, answer brice's question about rescheduling meetups it's pretty relevant. My answer is : I'm always free, and I don't see this changing soon. (well, I'm only available on weekday evenings and weekends)
