kaeru Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Calm101 and Steb, i sent you both some info to your inboxes about the boards you might need. Consider ordering from Toodles TOGETHER to save on shipping. Normally he won't put 4 boards in one box, but since 2 of them are those tiny Imps.. maybe he'll do it. Send him a message ! Also let me know if you want me to order them for you. I already have an SRK account.
kr3wman Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 and those déjà vus were pretty old I think too. hm.

Bibiquadium Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Man, this is getting ridiculous, can't even do a 6B dash cancel A, how am I supposed to pressure with Platinum without that.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 Yo what happened to the tournament matches on the 11th? I actually need those replays.
Bibiquadium Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 I was planning to upload them very soon, maybe not tonight, but by tomorrow. Unless you need the actual data and not the YouTube stream
pochp Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Blade probably wants you to open his match videos with a hex editor and post the result in the thread so he can analyse it. this is a joke, don't do it plz. @Summer Jam crew : Friday, 10 AM Terminus Longueuil, bring your controller/stick, toothbrush, US money, and passport, and whatever else you might need. Is this cool with everyone?
Steb Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 SteB I n33d help to train for marvel I need help too. I barely practiced any game . Are you going to be at Foonzo Thursday? That's pretty much the only day I can be there. Man, this is getting ridiculous, can't even do a 6B dash cancel A, how am I supposed to pressure with Platinum without that. Isn't it supposed to be a meaty/last active frame 6B into dash A? @Summer Jam crew : Friday, 10 AM Terminus Longueuil, bring your controller/stick, toothbrush, US money, and passport, and whatever else you might need. Is this cool with everyone? All good. Except I still don't have my own stick .

Nini Heart Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) Friday 10 am sounds impossible after a thursday meetup. Sounds like I won't sleep at all Steb we can have casuals at your place if you want. I really need to train up on PS3. So far I can't do volcano>beehive, OtG Stinger>grapple, acid rain and hammer consistently Edited August 22, 2011 by Nini Heart
Dai_Loli Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Steb's got it, Plat's 6B into Dash A works only if you max range it, otherwise the guy will come to back to his senses faster, unless of course you Counter it, in which case most moves will work. I'm not even sure if you can even pull it off if the opponent is standing. It has a tricky timing to it, too, which I am annoyed at since I often input the dash too early and nothing happens. A lot of people seem to think the 6B is not that useful on the Plat boards, though. B Bubble to TK Swallow Moons or just plain 5A/2A to Dash 5A/2A seem to be their favorite way to pressure without items.
Bibiquadium Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) I've set my CPU to permanent crouching with Block Everything and not blocking overheads to practice my overhead pressures, only decent but not too good way I found so far is Jump 2C A B C 236D then you can follow just about any wall combos with the Circular except the Full Hammer loop which only works completely if its started by a Circular, but you can launch the C 632146 C after the first hammer fall and still deal a decent 4.6k and 5k if you do a Jump D B C 236 B [hammer loop] but those are risky and can get you DP'd, there's also maybe the 236 A that makes you jump on the other side of them person if he's crounching. I'll keep trying stuff and see for myself. Edited August 22, 2011 by Bibiquadium
pochp Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Friday 10 am sounds impossible after a thursday meetup. Sounds like I won't sleep at all It's an 8 hour drive if we don't stop or have traffic. If we leave at 10, we'll get there for 6 PM. We'll probably do casuals until 3-4 AM with the other crews like at ECT. The earlier we get there, the more casuals we do. Try to sleep a lot this week so you accumulate enough for this weekend. Oh btw here's a tip, when you get home from a meetup, brush your teeth and go to sleep right away, don't open your computer.

Agreed about j.2C as an overhead approach, it's a relatively under-used move that doesn't seem bad at putting the pressure on, but the hitstun on it is terribad D: Also sorta easy to see coming when compared to the lightning fast TK Swallow Moon j.B. You sure I can't do the second loop from anything but a Circular starter?? I thought just 5B was fine for it. D: As for the 236A, I couldn't find a way to follow-up on it, not mentioning how risky it is. I've seen some Plats RC it and land a combo afterwards though, so it's nice to know there's that option.
Bibiquadium Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 j.2C can be followed by A or 2A which gives you a large alternative.

This Thursday is pretty much the only day I can go to Foonzo. We can just leave early to sleep.
Nini Heart Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Sleep in the car, its 8 hours long. Smart man. All nighter then sleep in the car.
Bibiquadium Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I got my new ultimate concentration set up, earphones that blocks all outside noises, full blast with SOAD, Dream Teather, Serj Terkan, hoodie on the head, all that happens outside of my vision becomes nothing.
pochp Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Smart man. All nighter then sleep in the car. lol nigga you realize it's you, level5, and steb on the back seat right? you really shouldn't depend on that for quality sleep. You guys should also stop giving bad advice.
Bibiquadium Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Listen to this and you'll fall asleep in the car no matter who is in it, even Brice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8sRCAYiy7s
