LuminAbyss Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 The whiteboard is essential to the scene. Support the scene nigga. I think I have it Luna. I'll get on that!
Delrian Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 The whiteboard is essential to the scene. Support the scene nigga. And here I thought giving away my money to tournaments was enough. :P
A.X.I.S. Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 And here I thought giving away my money to tournaments was enough. :P You must give your body to the scene too. Now come offer yourself to me us.

LunaKage Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 Found out youtube was counting two videos that failed to upload, that I reuploaded, so basically I had doubles of two videos even though you couldn't watch the duplicate, meaning I only had 97 vids instead of 99. This vid makes 98, and hopefully the combo vid I'm trying to make with Jago will be 99, 100 should be hype, but I need to use Windows Movie Maker to do it, instead of my Ulead, fucking MP4.
Skye Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Good shit Luna. Welcome, Devil. I'm gonna start practicing and changing my playstyle with both my main, Arakune and my eternal sub, Jin (can't get away from him). Expect new shit next time Skye hits the scene.
LuminAbyss Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Ohshit. Skye's Jin is leveling up. Can't wait to play you again bro~ just be sure to let me know if you can make it to casuals this week!
MainG_Jago Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Alright Luna I'm in class now and so far it looks like I'm good to go at the moment
Delrian Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 From SRK: The upcoming tournaments will be biweeklies for our 5th season of ranking battles. The location is still undecided but it's either going to be in Garden City or Ann Arbor. I'll post a thread some time in the next week or so with more information. We'll be running at least Marvel and SSF4, and some Anime games (not sure which ones yet). I thought it was decided that we were going to be in ann arbor?
Toasty Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 From SRK: I thought it was decided that we were going to be in ann arbor? That's what I was told via PM. GYGO is a larger venue anyway so it would make more sense. Who else saw the Tekken 6 top 16 at FR? It was mad hype. Also Luna, since you probably know the Tekken scene better than the rest of us, why do so many Tekken players use pad?
LuminAbyss Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Toasty I just noticed your title thing under your username. I hate you and your main a lot. fff I forgot to finish watching the FR stream. D: Are the results posted up?

D: Are the results posted up? http://www.finalround.org/FRXIV/results.cfm Top three characters in BB were: 1) Carl 2) Valk 3) Litchi
LuminAbyss Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Oooh, LK got third. I expected him to place high xD I saw that Carl in the early rounds. He was really good. Also I heard that Valk was the one who knocked out Tokido.
Mr. Kimura Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Ivysaur won BlazBlue. I'm in the airport now, my plane leaves at 1 and I will be home at 2:30. Results are here: http://www.finalround.org/FRXIV/results.cfm I'd like to think I fought Tenstars in losers, I dunno. Probably not. There were lots of Bangs. Slymoogle put me out first. I went by my old SRK name Joe-oh-ken. Come to think of it, everyone I fought was really good, so I'm not salty at all for losing.
LuminAbyss Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 There were a lot of really good people there Joe. You did a good job making it out to a large tourney. I'm going to try to go FRXV so I can join in the hype.
Mr. Kimura Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Joe, is there any chance of you going to MWC? No idea. Did you guys see a dude with long hair and an AC/DC shirt or hoody or a Rush shirt? That was me. I have a pic with Tokido, you might recognize me with it. If we do Toasty let's run an HnK tourney. You all should go to Final Round. Next year is the 15th anniversary, get hype! Last Edit: on the plane now, and I'm all the way in the back. So cramped...

At MWC, we'll be playing HnK 99% of the time at the hotel. Get hype. >Black People >PS3 Players >Law >But black people here have sticks (and some white guys used pads there too). >Blak and Jay use sticks, and they are both PS3 users (and black). >This one I'm not sure about. There were a few Law players there but it seemed like more people used pads than sticks.
LunaKage Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 Toasty we play Anime games, Tekken is like Marvel in a sense that it is accepted as being a non Japanese fighting game to the black people I am referring to.
Toasty Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Toasty we play Anime games, Tekken is like Marvel in a sense that it is accepted as being a non Japanese fighting game to the black people I am referring to. So sticks are only widely used in Anime games? It's ironic because a stick is much better to have in a game like Marvel than a pad would be (example being Taskmaster's super being at different angles depending on the buttons pressed).

Funny enough, even the guys I played with at the arcade, alot of the times they said they preferred their pad, despite being really good on stick already.

It could be because they might have an easier time dashing with the pad. Also, HnK tourney on the 20th, get hype. I'm hoping that there will be vids on YT soon after.
A.X.I.S. Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 So many Rei and Toki. TOOOOOOOOOKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
Toasty Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 So many Rei and Toki. TOOOOOOOOOKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII! 8 Rei 5 Yuda 4 Kenshiro 3 Toki 3 Souther 2 Mamiya 2 Shin 2 Jagi 1 Mr. Heart 0 Raoh I'm surprised that there are no Raohs there. It's not like he's a bad character (he's actually the 3rd best) and there are usually Raoh players at tourneys. Also there aren't that many Tokis.
