Click on 360B and you get taken to http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/frameData/tager/360A.html and manually changing it to 360B leads to nowhere.

The most obvious solution is likely the correct one: R-1 is a really good player and in that tournament he played better and made more correct guesses during the match they played. To suggest that it is 'serious fail' to lose a matchup in your favour suggests that tagers should never beat any character besides noel (since it would be 'serious fail' on the part of the opponent). Please think before posting comments like that.

Akira isn't some kind of omnipotent being that can't make mistakes. He made a few bad reads and R-1 was on it. Seriously do not underestimate Noel, she can hurt Tager more than most characters.

I wouldn't call her match up advantaged unless you want to split hairs, a .5 up from neutral isn't enough for me, her combo-ability can mince Tager like she can everyone else. I say he was robbed because lost both rounds by slivers of health, I never thought Akira as godly but losing out when you are so close hurts to watch. Aw well, Akira did far far better then the Tao in the final round, who R-1 proceeded to perfect without much trouble anyway. So cheers to both players, Akira for making so far with the worst character in the game and R-1 for winning the whole thing.

Osuna Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I think people need to remember that our character sucks and that we get more than a few wins from lack of match up expertise from our opponents. There is no match up we just win, nothing even Close to that. Our character isn't good. It isn't like 'If we just play right we can kick everyone's ass', it is 'if we play right we'll still win less often than if we were playing right as a different character' I feel like a lot of people have the mistaken impression that Tager can be great in the right hands. Amazing for sure, awesome too, incredible on occasion, but at the end of the day he's a bad character.

Manta Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I feel like a lot of people have the mistaken impression that Tager can be great in the right hands. Amazing for sure, awesome too, incredible on occasion, but at the end of the day he's a bad character. It does however, make victories all the sweeter, particularly if they were acting like you were free and you do something totally out of the blue that does get them.

Anyways, I played my friend a little while ago. He was playing Tao. He like to run a lot. At the time, I didn't know the match up. But I was beating him like it was nothing with 360/720s. Most of them were unescapeable btw. This was online btw. So it might not mean that much.

But I root for him cause I think he's a pretty cool guy, so I could say he has my respect. We should take our wins where we can get them, no use getting salty. Posted July 3, 2011 Author Posted July 3, 2011 @ CrazyI: Akira had a few chances to beat R-1, on round 2 of his match he should have definitely used that spark but the mind games that was going on might have got to him. I don't know, it feels like if Akira used that spark R-1 would have 5D'd him and got the CH combo and killed him or worse it whiff's and he gets hit anyway. You can be a really good player playing a bad character, remember that and improve to cover up your characters weakness...sadly Tager has quite a few of them so hop to it.

Anyway I actually found a person who still manages to complain about and I honestly wonder. Is it his sheer incompetence that keeps him from beating the worst character in the game or is it just plain whining.
