Yeah, I don't mean to detract from MadKOF at all, he's fantastic. I noticed he wasn't doing a more damaging Duo Lon combo that I came up with the other day for the same resources, so there's room for improvement for him even further. He made Bala quit using Billy altogether! I saw some Ralf, I saw some Clark, I saw Shen punch people in the mouth, I'm good. KOF is awesome. I'd be okay with Guilty Round Robin Madness. Objective of tournaments is to PLAY, after all. I agree that Marvel is due to scheduling errors. I will not be running Street Fighter. I will look into running MTNG alongside Game Galaxy monthlies. We all like to press buttons in the other games that go on, anyway.

Bala picked up on it and punished accordingly. I didn't finish it cuz my original intent was to watch some more Faust footage, but I just figured I'd mention it and see if anyone can drop some knowledge.

We've got the setups, and let it run all day, as the semi-casual tournament for a while. Make it cheap, and we all play it most of the day, should have time for everyone to get all thier matches in. Keep points and such, and we can always change to a standard tournament whenever. I figure that way, everyone has the most chance to improve as fast as possible. THIS!
LastStarSaviour Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 @Klein: I'm pretty sure he was asking for a breakdown of the match after already watching it. @Volpe: All I can really say about the match is that it seemed like Bala was trying to play his own game at the time. He didn't appear to care too much about breaking down Mad Kof's Duo Long and the mind-set behind it and as a result proceeded to lose a lot to it. The pattern you noticed in MadKof's playstyle is a bit noticeable but it isn't very much worth mentioning seeing as he probably stayed in that frame of mind due to Bala not adjusting therefore it not being necesary. It was a very good match, high-level Kof is definitely worth salvaging, wish I could fight people at this high a level. @Tad: I second KrazyKorean's "This"

It takes all kinds of people to making a community a growing force if you ask me. While it's easier to just approach something as everyone else does, you unlock and/or discover things you normally wouldn't if you simply challenge status quos, if you ask me anyways. Mai is a great character with crazy bs Wakeup crossup games with her knee drop. She can instant overhead, instant overhead crossup, or overhead re-crossup. Hilarious. She also has a very quick NeoMax that can punish whiffs, and can almost punish someone simply --running--. Mature is my girl and my best character. Ill be more than happy to create another Mature main in TN. Play Maxima.

Ew God no, I hate Maxima. =/ I'm glad to hear Mai is good at Oki, since that's a big thing I look for with my characters. What I always need in a character is a mid-ranged based game, very Oki oriented and long combos. I don't need damage and I don't need a lot of mixup. Just good solid normals and setups. Combos are a massive plus for me, because I'm a combo guy, but they aren't needed. Mai and Mature are definitely characters I want to use, but Mai might be replaceable if I like other characters more. As a reference to what I'm looking for though, I use Litchi, Platinum (BB), I-No, May/Venom (GG), Ivy, Tira (SC), Painwheel, Parasoul, Double (SG), Rose, Viper (SF), Anna, Julia (TK), Caster, Luviagelita (F/UC), Sindel, Kitana (MK). If you can tell me what characters that are kind of like all of them, I'd appreciate it. And it's awesome that you use Mature, not enough people use that awesome woman.

I'm not really good with planning out the use of each character in particular position, but whatevs. I just need Iori's hit confirm rape.

Mai's knee drop reminds me of Viper's burn kick. 50/50's for like five seconds each hard knockdown. From what you described, I think you'd like Mai. She has a lot of mobility with wall kicks, wall clings, dives, etc. great oki in my opinion, good projectile in her Fandouken, and just lots of stuff going for her. She doesn't get a whole lot of representation is the thing and she doesn't have a great reversal. Other people.. Uh... I'll take a look when I get home @papstr: GET DEM POINTZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
