Klein Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I recall well you saying that the DP wasn't really punishable, but I can't be arsed to look it up, so I guess you win on that front. And I don't like all kinds of things, but I don't make them out to be BS.
LastStarSaviour Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 (edited) And I don't like all kinds of things, but I don't make them out to be BS. THAT'S YOU! That's your own view on the situation. Why should I think the same way as you on a subject? Especially if you experience something in a match and it FEELS bs. That's the point of humans being given indivisual thought processes, so that we can come to our own conclusion on things, not what other people decide to hand out to us. Edit: I did say that the recovery on Yosuke's DP was hard to tell, which it kind of is if you're in the middle of a match. Unbeatable, no, hard to deal with at times, yes. Volpe-de-Glacio Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I'm with Star on this one. Awkward to punish =/= unbeatable.
Klein Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 My point is that you say you come up with these well reasoned opinions, while also being impulsive and raging over anything out of your comfort zone. Kind of a contradiction.
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Everybody rages at some point or another, but I've never seen him let frustration affect his entire opinion of a character. If he has something about a character he dislikes, I've always seen him put forth a decent argument explaining his viewpoints. You're also switching up your entire argument now to make your statements fit. I don't know what it is, but I see a hefty disregard for anything that Star tries to point out by everybody but Naimat and more recently Milln. It seems like everyone else just writes him off as bad for little to no reason, and it's kind of silly.
LastStarSaviour Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I'd have to disagree. When I debated with Lumin on the Ragna stuff, those were facts being thrown around, not opinions (from both sides). Even the Mitsuru vs Kanji stuff was all facts that were tested in-match and in the lab before I said anything. I really try my hardest to keep things accurate, and if someone comes up with a better idea I haven't thought of, i'll ackowledge it (like how SKD came in and told me about the cross-up whiff trick for yosuke's DP). Outside of those two instances, I honestly don't senselessly rage, even though it does come off as such, which is partially my fault in the first place.

Edit: But I am a bad player. You can ask anyone who knows me.
Astaroth136 Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 To be fair though, Labrys normals are whack. I lost to the turtliest Labrys today in ranked due to huge hitboxes when I tried closing the gap. LOL Live and learn.
Astaroth136 Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Oh, and electrocuting Mitsuru with 5D doesn't help Kanji at all. She can just flail normals or charge attacks when I try to close the gap, or anti-air me with 2B. Then I go flying right back into the corner.
Tophatmoffet Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 just gained another 150+ psr. 403 currently.
Jackie Chandler Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Did you guys forget about this game? Pfff, hell no. I still love Blazblue. Also, don't forget that you can use Abyss Mode to complete any of those outrageous requests you get~.
LastStarSaviour Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Pfff, hell no. I still love Blazblue Really hyped for Phantasma
Seiki Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 ...lol complaining about Kanji. I play akihiko and i find the matchup a lot more tolerable if you just stop trying to press buttons and just move around more. If you spend more time baiting his command grab and dp then trying to do small mix ups that net you small amounts of damage one solid read in baiting his command grab or dp is equal in damage to a bunch of small combos that require multiple reads and multiple attempts at putting yourself at a big risk. Hell even on wake-up it's as much of a r/p/s game for him as it is for you. There is no such thing as a one sided r/p/s game...it's just you being predictable and read by a good kanji. If anything go balls out on him before he goes into awakening since the risk is a lot less and get as much damage in as possible. Tager is much worse. He can build ridiculous amounts of meter and break 3k without using meter. His magnetism made his 360's safe on whiff because you jumped and just flew to the other side of the screen and off an atomic collider he gets a hell of a lot more damage than kanji's anti air grab. Kanji does not have a jab or any normal that puts him at +4....tager does. And lol wait till GG drops in October, you thought kanji was bad(which he isn't)...Potemkin shits on all grapplers everywhere.
Milln Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 So he's right, then. He said +4. Huehuehuehuehuehue
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Actually, now that I know I was wrong about his tick throw being inescapable, I don't really have a problem with Kanji. He has an annoying array of options on wake-up, but at leas they're actually manageable.
Klein Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Shadow Labrys' 5A is -7 on block. Yep. I just burst out laughing at that. God, why.
Milln Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 (edited) Nobody's ever gonna just do one 5A and not cancel into anything... @Chrono Phantasma: I didn't forget. I don't have any interest in it, though. There are way too many fighting games out and I'm stretched way too thin as it is. Im going to play KOF and Persona and thats it, unless something strikes me as more fun than one of those two. Edited August 25, 2012 by Milln
Urichinan Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I can't wait for CP. (Lol Cow Punch. Lol Crazy Prostitute. Lol Cream Pie) When it comes out that will more than likely be the only thing I play for a year. If I go to tournaments I'll still play other games, but my love for BB compels me to play nothing other than itself. No seriously though, I'll still play P4U, GG and maybe KoF. I haven't played KoF in almost a month actually, since online sucks I got super bored sitting in training mode.
Milln Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 Go to fight nights! I know there's stuff happening every week in Knoxville. 119-person P4A tournament in I think California, today.
