Tophatmoffet Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Air 360 doesn't have an A version, it's just 360C IIRC. So I don't think it actually has any invincibility at all. =/ ^ Cool. I thought so but I wasnt 100% sure. Still not "useless."
Top_Cat Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I'd say the A one has a few frames of invincibility, otherwise, the air-360 is useless. And yes Midnight, something like that does work. It's just a tech trap. A tk'ed air-360 may actually catch lower than Collider, and if that's the case, it may have some good uses. Neutral-tech tech traps would be godlike. I was referring to being unable to avoid getting air 360'd after teching a grab.

Someone told me that ages ago, but I forgot. That means the only use then is possibly that it catches a little lower than Collider. If it doesn't, then I honestly see no real use for it.
Top_Cat Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 The matchup at 13:41 brings back so much nostalgia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmMQlGBBrtg#
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Y'know, for substances that make people steal from their own families and do other various crazy shit just to get their hands on it, I thought the opiate high would be a lot more. . . Pleasant. Holy shit, though, the crazy ass dreams almost make up for it. I feel like Samuel Taylor fuckin' Coleridge, man.
Astaroth136 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 The matchup at 13:41 brings back so much nostalgia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmMQlGBBrtg# That Tager was really, really bad. It does look like CT, which I'm fine with. Both sides have to guess right and take risks. The thing some Tager players forget is to not let her airdash out of the corner. USE THAT COLLIDER!
Top_Cat Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Still, the matchup will be worse than it has been since CS since Nu got her Act Parsar back.
Jackie Chandler Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Still, the matchup will be worse than it has been since CS since Nu got her Act Parsar back. You know, I've been wondering which move you were referring to, so I finally decided to look it up. And wow, I didn't even know that existed. I just thought some of her moves were "backdash cancelable" now and never questioned the difference between Act Parser forward and Lambda's 236A. You're right, that's a game changer.
Astaroth136 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Still, the matchup will be worse than it has been since CS since Nu got her Act Parsar back. CS Carl and Litchi felt just as bad to me, if not worse in some aspects. I played so many CT Nu's that I actually had a comfort zone in that matchup. At least I could get hit a few times there. Against Carl or Litchi, it was pretty much "get hit once and die." EDIT Am I thinking of the right Carl version? It was the one with the clap loop that was inescapable for Tager.
Seiki Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Every version of Carl is like that. Get hit once you're fucked.

Losing it in CS was a huge hit for her. Getting it back gives her more offensive options and also allows her to more easily get out of the corner against people who try to approach from the air by just blocking. Very excited about this change.

Very excited about this change. Yeah, conceptually, it's a pretty crazy mechanic. Being able to escape/back away from your opponent just because you made them block something, especially for a character emphasized on zoning... I mean, I can see why they took it away in CS, haha. And on an unrelated note, some of the reference colors in CP are amazing. Bang has a Goku palette, Azrael has a Kamina palette, Tager has a Brahms (Valkyrie Profile) palette, Noel/Platinum have a Mami/Madoka (Puella Magi) palette, Bullet/Arakune have a Kusanagi/Tachikoma (Ghost in the Shell) palette, and Carl has a Lieselotte (Arcana Heart) palette (with Nirvana as Elfride). But what does Ragna get? Ragna gets Ichigo Kurosaki colors. This might have excited me four years ago. >:/
LuminAbyss Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I don't know man, Ragna got CT Black and CT Green, I'm pretty much set. Also I missed you all. What's up?
Klein Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Lumin, I have a song to describe my feelings for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kto8DIqrXhc Also Jackie, Plat has SIX Madoka related colors. Homura is my waifu. It hurt me right in the masculinity saying that, I should never do it again.
Papstr Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 CT Green WHAT. IS THIS TRUE? If so, pink may have some competition for me.
Mr.Minionman Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I shoved most of the FG mains I play in a little rectangle under my name. Chose Shen as the KoF representative, didn't have enough room for Painwheel, and Sai, but oh well. Though avatars can get a bit bigger then that can't they? Might try to redo it later. Whatchu think?
Urichinan Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 So, something interesting happened to me today. I got a message from Blight Gaming, and Blackfoger said they were interested in sponsoring me. The only problem is, it's Blight Gaming. I've wanted to be sponsored for soooooooooooooo long, because I don't have the funds to send myself to tournaments. And now that I FINALLY got an offer, I can't accept it because the company has such a bad reputation. I did a bunch of research, and they've been sending players to tournaments, and then not covering the fees, leaving the players hanging and having to pay for everything out of their own pocket. I can't afford for something like that to happen to me. It's so depressing. You finally get close to a dream, and then it comes tumbling down. =( I'm still going to talk with them though, and see what they have to say before I completely dismiss them. But as of now, I don't really trust them. @Minion, you should try and reposition them a bit. And add a blur to the background, and a 2 pixel black outline around the characters for more depth. Then try your best to find higher quality sprites. Otherwise, not bad.
Bane Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 @Minion: I can barely make out Makoto. Might wanna find higher res pictures.
Mr.Minionman Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) Noted. Thanks for the feedback! Paint.net tends to blur images when you resize them using the box, so I'll need to manually resize them in order to keep their resolution. So how would one add an outline? I could go in and add them individually, but I'm sure there's an easy way to get it to do it for me. As for Makoto, yeah, she really looks out of place with the other higher quality sprites (and excessively blurry). Her problem though is that she comes from an older game, so her sprite is naturally lower quality. edit: found a plugin for it Edited December 4, 2012 by Mr.Minionman

Astaroth136 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Sponsor stuff Damn, really? I thought you had to go to a bunch of majors and win surrounding tournaments to get noticed nowadays (not cutting you down here, just saying). Did they get your name from those ridiculous combo videos? If you do accept the sponsorship, will you have a ride whenever you need it? Something to consider there. Congrats nonetheless!
