Middle Tennessee Needs Gaming! Monthly Versus Tourneys - Antioch, TN

Oh, well now I feel like a dick. Sorry Astaroth. Now that you mention it, though, I'm not sure I'll be able to record directly from ANY of the setups currently in the arcade. The monitors would be fine, but they don't have component in, which I need to record in HD (my capture card doesn't have HDMI capabilities). The Viewlix might work for component, but I've never gotten a thumbs-up to unhook the HDMI from that to put in component, so I don't even know if it has it. The only other TV in the arcade is the standard def we used a couple months ago, but A. I'd need to record in standard def on that one, and B. I need to use splitter cables on that one, which dims the screen. I guess another option would be to bring in a T.V. from the storage room, but I'm NOT going to ask to move it from there so I can move stuff in the arcade to make room for it just so I can record in a decent quality. Ugh.

I guess I could bring my Flip Camera again and record off the Viewlix with it, but if that's what I end up doing I'd DEFINITELY end up only recording Finals, and maybe Semi-Finals. I spent more than five dollars on AA batteries to keep that thing running for two hours last time. :/

We can use my phone to record. I find it has the highest quality of external sources we've used.

We have two Asus monitors, the big CRT, and the Vewlix(no 'i', Jackie. Get it right) for September's function. So we'll need three, four at most, systems and game copies. I know Astaroth and I have 3SO downloaded and we're good with BlazBlue copies. I think we're all set as far as setups. Just need a 360 or two. (I count mine and Jackie's)

Damn, I've been spelling that wrong for about a year now. >_> If you want to use your phone to record, you can Milln- we'd probably have a better chance at it not dying on us, haha. I'm not sure it records in HD though, or if you have the capabilities to edit it. (Does it/do you?) I don't mind recording with mine, and/or bringing it with extra batteries just in case. And just for emphasis, my 360 has 3SO as well.

I can edit/trim/clip footage from my phone and in this instance, what difference would it make if it can record in high definition of a non-high definition medium? Only as good as the weakest connection.

Just use your camera to record shenanigans of people, etc. Not game screens.

I forgot we'd be in the arcade this Saturday. Oh well, I was dying to try and improve my commentating since I feel i'm lousy at it. Also, that was going to be the only thing to keep me entertained during the tournaments. But again, oh well. I'll just bring a bunch of quarters and set myself up on the GG cabinet while you guys play.

Edit: Holy crap, Lili in SF X Tekken? Finally some good news about this game. Her rush-down is looking pretty sweet, plus i'm loving those counters/parries. I may have to put this game back on my list after all.

Why don't you get a PS2 -> 360 converter, Star? I can almost guarantee they'd be cheaper and easier to find, and since the PS2 controller is almost exactly the same as the PS3 minus the sticks (which I don't think you use) and the triggers (which are more comfortable on PS2 IMO), it'd work out better in the long run.

I have a couple of the same-model chairs at my place, so I'll check to see if I can fit one in the back tomorrow. :3 If I can (which I'm 99% sure I can) you're riding with me and coming to dinner. Only issue then will be who takes the back seat, you or Papstr. :P

It wasn't supposed to be really funny- it's just that whenever I offer to give people rides and they find out I drive a Mustang, they either groan in discontent or don't realize how little space there is in the back of a Mustang. That's why "who's gonna take the back seat?" is an issue here, because I know neither of them are going to want it. :P

Also everyone should check out an RTS called Achron. I'm on my phone so I can't copy a video URL for you all to click on, but it's on YouTube and www.Achron.com it's an RTs where the central element is..... TIME TRAVEL. No joke. And it extends into the multiplayer which makes it awesome and you not only have to outplay your opponent, but out time travel him. FUGGIN cool and FUGGIN HYPE

If you put it sideways, then definitely. But maybe I can flip it upside down and turn it around and have the entire thing fit in the back. If not, as long as it's the same model as mine, I could always detach the bottom part and put the bottom part in the trunk.
