Anyone else feel like this matchup is currently ass? I'm having an extremely hard time getting in, and when I do it seems like she has an answer for almost everything. Most everything I try gets stuffed right away, especially in the air.

Perhaps I'm just not approaching this right. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

EDIT: D nails resets are NOT a good idea in the match up.

I don't understand how everything you do would get stuffed unless you're still trying to use 5B as a poke. Getting stuffed in the air is just your fault, challenging her air normals at max range is kind of silly, challenging her normals at mid range requires starting first. If you're out of range, just wait and IB, she gets nothing for it usually if you understand the way things move.

Also, why are Dnail resets bad? She has no non-meter reversal without the bat.. :sweatdrop:

Her pokes don't seem that amazing either, unless there's something I'm missing. 5B is long but it's 12f startup and isn't max range till like 15-16f. Even her 5A is 6f and her only reversal is bat and/or spinny super. Bat is a pretty easy reversal to just mash out but it also seems pretty easy to bait and punish.

I'm REALLY mindfucked in this matchup. Seems like she can mash buttons and they beat everything. Her jumping multiple hit thing just beats everything, what do you do about it? Yeah just block, but then I have to put up with her pressure... her blockstrings, when do they end? The overhead butt thing is really positive on block, I can't find where her pressure ends. Or am I approaching it wrong? In short, how do I get in when she outranges you massively, and how do you get out of her pressure?

I just don't know the matchup since she doesn't seem that popular, but I'm getting blown up by a shitty player and I'm stumped.

Plat's only legit pressure is 5A stagger. Other than that her pressure is very weak. Barrier her out and she will be forced to do something dumb to get back in.

Approaching her is a bit tricky, max range J.B is pretty decent for air to air. 5B is alright for ground to ground footsies. You could always throw nails and make your way in.

Plat. was made so girls could play the game and not look terrible... I agree that her pressure is terrible. She does have a pretty fast overhead in the j.c'd frying pan though. I don't like how many times bombs hit... Saw some cool Plat funzies with her cat missiles though. She shot 'em, changed to hammer and floor pounded. What do we do about that?

6B is 20 frames that's really fast.

Her unblockable isn't all that great, she doesn't get alot of damage off of it unless you're close to the corner. Plus the chances of her being able to set it up legitly are the luck of the random items.

Or you can just jump over the missiles and not worry about the hammer at all; you guys have 3 jumps for god's sake.

6B can be a bitch to combo with too, as you need to be at the right distance to be able to link with anything after it. If a Plat takes this out at point blank, you pretty much know she won't be able to connect her next move.

Well if said Plat. shot these missiles at full screen and not in an awkward blockstring, I'd probably be fine with jumping over missile kittehs. Also, you're confusing Bang and Tao. We Bangs have 2 jumps and an airdash. Tao is the one with three jumps for god's sake.
