HexaNoid Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I would also like to note that 6C delay throw should be slightly easier to do in Extend because of the level decrease in her C moves. Not necessarily. The decrease in level means that our opponents will recover faster after a 6C, but that doesn't mean we'll recover any faster. If the recovery on 6C stays the same as it is in CS2 with the level decrease, it'll technically be even harder to land since there's an increased chance of us being poked out of it.
Alpha152 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Doesn't the recovery not matter since it's being cancelled into another move?
HexaNoid Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Oh, my bad. I should've been clearer there. What I meant to say is that our 6C cancel window has been reduced as well so we won't be able to cancel as late as we did in CS2, which'll mean that we'll probably run into the same purple grab problem as CS2 if we cancel too late. Also, if the recovery on 6C isn't any better, then it'll be even more dangerous going in with a 6C as it'll be easier for our opponents to hit us out of it with the decrease in level to our C moves.
Alpha152 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Ok makes sense, thanks for the clarification. I forgot about the reduced cancel window, I guess it'll remain gimmicky at best.
Bääx Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, In CS2 I've been playing against hell mode Unlimited Hazama for the past hour+ with Noel without a single round win yet. Every time he Astral Finishes me, or Fatal Counter / Distortion Finishes me out of a d.6C, I die a little more inside. I've looked around the forum for a good while and haven't found much in the way of Noel vs. Unl. Hazama. It's extremely frustrating how the COM counters and fatal counters every single move with the precision that only a COM could have. Every now and then I can get a combo out of a 5B(CH) or a 2C(CH), but I've yet to get the 3-5 in a round that I'd require for a win. Any tips or pointers to threads where this has already been discussed would be much appreciated. Many thanks! Edited January 31, 2012 by Bääx
psychotic Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Hey, just a quick question about one of the challenge mode combos. The combo is this: 2D > d.5D > d.5B > d.5C > d.6C > 214A > 2B > 6C > 22B > 22BC~66 > 6C > 236A > 6C > JC > j.D > d.6D > d.6B > 632146D(2) K, so in that combo is it even possible to hit the j.D? Because EVERY time I do the combo I whiff that aerial, but I can get everything up to that point 90% of the time. Sometimes in 22BC I hit the C too early and it doesn't come out, and sometimes the input for 6C after Optic Barrel doesn't register in time, but otherwise easy combo...except that aerial. I've tried for 3 straight hours and still can't get it. Any tips/pointers? I've tried dash-cancelling out of the 236A but it doesn't seem to work, the NPC just recovers before the 6C comes out. I've also tried doing the 6C > 236A > 6C inputs as quick as possible, no results. ANY help is appreciated. Also, I should mention I bought BlazBlue: CS on XBL and downloaded straight from there, so not sure if it's CS1 or CS2 (but definitely not CSX)
HexaNoid Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Any tips or pointers to threads where this has already been discussed would be much appreciated. Many thanks! We don't have any match-up threads for Unlimited characters, but if you post a video of yourself playing here then I'm sure one of us would be able to help you improve your general game which could help you beat U.Hazama. I would, however, like to mention that training against an A.I in general isn't a very good idea in most cases since, like you said, the computer will be able to counter you in places you'd never normally get beaten by human and it can teach you some pretty bad habits. Hey, just a quick question about one of the challenge mode combos. For starters, you're definitely playing CS2 if that's the combo you find in challenge mode. Secondly, I covered how to do this challenge earlier on in this thread, so I hope this helps you: -Do everything normally up until 22B > 22BC~66 > 6C (the computer doesn't dash cancel in the sample, but it makes it easier to connect the 6C and is also a good habit to get into for her other combos) -Delay the OpticA and the following 66C for as long as possible; you want to be delaying the OpticA for quite a while, but the 66C not so much. This is to make the next part (j.D > 6D) easier to land. -Super jump cancel your j.D to make it easier to connect the d.6D. Landing a j.D at the highest point in your jump is usually the best way to go about using the j.D > ender combo. You'll cross up when you sjc, so make sure you adjust your combo accordingly. I hope that helps you get it down, but honestly I would be using this version of the combo (as well as the other optimised challenge combos found in that video) instead.
psychotic Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Thanks bro, will do. I'm extremely new to BB as you may be able to tell (just bought it last week) so I'm still trying to muscle-memory her BnB combos before I worry too much about learning her fighting styles. But yeah, thanks for the tips, never thought to DELAY the OpticA lol.

Thanks for the reply! I was able to get past him with a couple more hours of play and some questionable turtling and 2A poking tactics, not to mention I randomly stumbled across the vs. COM mechanic of 100% heat from a taunt (?!?!). So Fenrir spam saved the day. I've got my trophy and I'm done with it. I'll definitely look into the logistics of recording some of my matches. I'm sure some expert critique would do wonders for me. I also appreciate the above combo challenge tips, as that one has been a bitch for me, too. That video is exactly what I've needed! I only wish I'd found it six months ago.
