Leonil_Requiem Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Damage, Blocking and Poke decide the winner of this fight every time. But a little theory play won't hurt. 5B > 5C > , 2B > 5B > , 5C > 2B. That's your rock paper scissors of two aggressive Ragnas. Have fun , but remember were all the same at the end of the day.
Kalamity-X Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Lol. Your initial approach can decide an early lead obviously. Just, don't become too cautious or too careless. You just may eat an inferno divider. Some Rags haven't cut the habit of tossin' deadspike out during each of their pressure strings so it's punishable enough to change his mind about it.
Janiekenzu Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Ragna mirrors. What I use at neutral: Rock paper sciccors with the following normals: 5b 2b 5c If you think the ragna is going to sit back and do nothing run in 5b If You see him running at you use a well spaced 2b. If you want to get in and start the leading offensive run in 5b. (5c/5b in to HF RC into pressure is what I usually like to do.) IF you know ragna's mix up you shouldn't have that many problems since you can just DP on reaction. What makes this match up boring is that who ever can keep the momentum going has the biggest advantage. Bait the shit out of inferno dividers.
Janiekenzu Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Also Don't ever use Death spike in this match up, Its very easy to react to it with an ID or a 2a.
LuminAbyss Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Deadspike is hilarious at baiting ID when spaced correctly. What you should say is don't be predictable with Deadspike.
Janiekenzu Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Who would use ID at a range where it would whiff over DS :/ hell if you see DS start up you can just go into 5b.
Janiekenzu Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Deathspike has 28 frames of start up 5b has 8 frames of start up. Or they can just Jump and J.C Especially if your opponent is Instant blocking. I just wouldn't be using it close up like most ragnas. I would only use DS on my opponents wake up as a potential meaty
Tong Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 For reference, this match consists of well-spaced air dashs j.C and feint jumping, 6A baits, risky 5B/5C pokes and 2B for counter-poke these; and sure, INFERUNOS DIBAIDAAS!!
Zeron_X25 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Hold up. If you hold it long enough, a feint comes out instead.
Tong Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Hmm guess it's not the right word... I meant jumping once then changing the direction/momentum with a double jump. Works best when used with dashing jumps.
