Chazmobile Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Imagine english Tao, that would be the best. Lambda: Flappy-Flap Litchi: Boobie Lady! Bang: Scruffy Guy To mention but a few Ahh it's fun to dream.
Chazmobile Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Pick Ragna on the character select screen: AZURE, GIVE ME THE AZURE!
currentlemon Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 You know, this is old but Jourdal mentioned that there was a JP Rachel player on top of the arcade leader-boards with 304 psr. I wonder who that person is anyway? It's clear that he/she doesn't play that much.
Kuuhaku Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 Aoiniku? I think is the name. They're a Kansai area player who basically racked up a ridiculous win streak. He hasn't played on that account since. PSR only seems to be an accurate indicator of skill if you play a lot of games. There are a lot of people in the top 100/200 that have only played like 30 games and have super high PSR.
Xerlic Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Thanks a lot for the advice on last page. I'm gonna try to get a lot more practice in this weekend to level up my game. I found _kro's Rachel CT guide and gonna give that a thorough read-over. Thanks again.
GenoWhirl Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I aced physics and this is apparently so important you must now all worship me
Istillduno Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I aced physics and this is apparently so important you must now all worship me Congrats, seems strangely appropriate with how Rachel chucks stuff out and winds it around.
pikdum Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 (edited) try this for giggles: CH 6b 5d j.c j236c land 5b and so on Edited June 1, 2011 by pikdum I'm bad
gli Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Streaming again: Metroid Super ZeroMission GGs Sahgren, severin, Gamma, and everyone else in my room earlier. You remind me that I am still not good at this game and need to stop mindlessly pressing buttons.
TD Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 geno will never miss a lobelia or wolf cannon again :3 also are there vid of aoiniku in cs2? l think i'll enjoy the diversity, he was always different than other top rachels in the previous games imo (or just ct, l dont think he played cs),
Alex073088 Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 he(aoniku) played in cs1 as well, i remember the match very clearly im sure it was against taokaka. he tried his best but still lost. he also fought against and lost to a jin. My favorite rachel is kure hane, who sports brown. he was super godlike in cs1, and is well above the pack in cs2. i put him way better then matsu.
Beening Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) With regards to the Dance to Wind combo video, I must say that the combo on Rags form 2:22 -2:39 was F'ing MAGIC! I cannot wait until I can do that online. My only question though, does anyone konw how to connect the j2C ->frog->5b? I cannot get the 5b to connect (same 2:22-2:39 combo). I must admit that I had my doubts upon te new patch (I tried an old 5cdc combo immedietly after downloading patch, :0) but that video has given me a new goal. I do feel a little weird trying to learn form a combo vid and thinking "wow, could I ever have figured this out on my own? It's hard enough when I know what it will look like but how hard did this awsome person have to work to get it from scratch?" Does anyone get that feeling? Edited June 2, 2011 by Beening
Beening Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I aced physics and this is apparently so important you must now all worship me I know what you mean, Physics major and I love Rahcel because of it!
Xerlic Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 From what I understand, connecting 5B from the lvl2 j.2C depends on how you connect with the j.2C. At least, that's what I got from watching this video posted in the tutorial thread. The timing seems a lot stricter than doing 236B into air combo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1pwQlq0uiY
gli Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) SHIMAPAN STG genow we must collab on this and make kusoge boss characters. Edited June 2, 2011 by glirandly
TD Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 guys what is her biggest combo from dp baiting. i've been doing 5b/fc 5c into 3c combos midscreen and corner. cant help feeling theres a 7k combo out there asking to be found. also im in a huge rut. suddenly l dont know how to play rachel or this game. l forgot what 6a looks like. wtf is fundamentals cause l dont even know. qq
gli Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I get in a rut whenever I play for longer than like 1 hour. I just can't think straight and I start to autopilot. It's a shame because those are pretty much tournament conditions.
TD Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 l think its because l get all worked up when l try and do something and lag fucks it up, or me just not recognizing the situation. it dosent happen often, but when it does, it can last for days. l try to reflect but literally, l just cannot pull myself out of it and l start looking more and more free. its high time for a break, l think
gli Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Same here lol. It's why I'm making random programming assignments for myself -_-
Xerlic Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Sorry, again not sure if this is the right place to ask this.. First, what is the best followup to a midscreen BBL for oki? I've been doing 3C 214A 236A but it seems like I can do a longer combo for tension and wind. Second, I know how to do Rachel's overhead j.A by doing 2D j.A, j.B land ground string, but I've seen JP players do j.A dj.A, j.B. Whenever I try to do this, I get a normal double jump instead of a short jump. At what point do you do the wind? Before the first jump or is it like j.2AD, dj.A, dj.B land? TD I noticed you live in Brooklyn. Is there a good BB scene in the NYC area?
TD Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 1) depends on how high your opponent is. the standard bbl ender, after ... lv2 j.2c land 236b jc djc j214c, is: bbl (6 hits) 214a 236a dash 3c(1) 214c 236a(frog hits) [3c(1) 214c 3c(1) pumpkin oki] l put the last bit in parenthesis because you can do what you want after depending on the situation.... but this is probably the best way due to a balance of wind regain, heat, damage and decent oki. bbls where your opponent is lower: no one has found a optimal combo just yet. l just try to do the best thing l can if there's not much proration pre-bbl. 2)maybe youre doing the first ja too deep, try doing it a bit earlier. most ny'ers play marvel now lol
