tofurr Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) That's because I was luckily never on the stream. Kind of was avoiding it because I get super nervous whenever I'm put on stream. Tari was the only Rach to be on stream, that I saw. Even though I wasn't in the tournament very long, I had a great time. It was fun playing casuals with everyone, watching matches, and chatting with some of the people there. I had to play Gamma for my first match. So unlucky with my first pairing, but it was awesome to be able to play him in person. I think he said he made it Top 10, sG knocked him out so he couldn't make Top 8. I was there on Saturday, made top 8 in SSF4 (surprised myself tbh). I was NOT there on Sunday because there was only a Smash tournament that day.... And now I'm being told there was a RACHEL COSPLAYER!! Life is just not fair >.>

I sorta figure that I'll just go ahead and play on stream anyway, though, in the hopes that eventually I'll get over my nerves. Next time I go to a tourney, though, I'll definitely bring my own stick. I'll get over these tourney nerves eventually, I tell you! I need to get some more Rachel practice in, too. I've spent too much time trolling people with Platinum recently. @spa: lol, nice job on the placements, though. :P

There was an anime convention in Sacramento and there were a bunch of Fighting Game tournaments there too. Tari: Ha ha, yeah, I don't like all of that stuff too. Some people were saying they felt input lag on the cabs for the tournament too.
Tari Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Yeah, apparently station four (the one closest to the gundam cabs) had some problems with input lag. I played on it, but I was honestly too nervous to notice. That said, I'm not sure why they ended up running the top 8 on stations three and four, seeing as how numerous people noted possible lag on four. Not sure if the other cabs had any issues, but if there were, I didn't hear about 'em. BB casuals got all the good cabs. :P
