Yuushiro Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 Watch out for her items, and remember what those items will do will help. Bubble have a really low projectile level, jC , your own projectile, pretty much any kind of attack will nullify it
Lucien Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Basic/Matchup overview: -5C pressure starters are your friend. - Gimmicks are a must. - Don't play keepaway. (Plat's long range with missiles shits on Jin's) - Play offense when Plat has no items. - Play defense when Plat has items equipped. long-distance: j.C is your friend when it comes to getting in. I wouldn't recommend trying to fight long distance because Plat's missile shit blows Jin up, no pun intended, at long range. When at far distances, make it your mission to cover ground and get in mid or close range. mid range: This is probably the best position for Jin to be in for this match up. Mid range gives him enough room to do good damage and pressure, as well as keep him a safe distance away from Magical Bat (and it's invul frames). I recommend starting all strings with d.5C and ending with either TK j.236C or IAD (Cross over) j.B. Short range: Two ways to approach this. Play strict defense and mind games, this is the most optimal style of play when Plat has items equipped. Gimmicks and unblockable set ups are your friend. The second way to approach this is offense, relentless, yet strategic assault, when Plat has no items equipped. The goal of offense to keep Plat from equipping items. When she has no items, Jin can easily overpower her at close range. Best tools: TK j.236C (Mid and Close), j.C (Fullscreen), j.236D in corner Best way to pressure: 5C > SJC > j.236B > jc > j.236x (this is good for keeping safe distance) 5C > IAD cross over > stuff Their strategy vs us: All they want is to get you into the corner, once in the corner Plat can easily net about 4k from grab or heart car CH. Best overall strategy: Don't play keep, stay on Plat. Don't let her get items. In other words, you should approach this match up with the similar mindset to the Jin vs Litchi match up "Play defensive when opponent has the item [Litchi's Staff, Plat's items], and when they dont have any items, play strategic offense" But hell, what do I know? I haven't played this game seriously since CS2 was released.
