Just fyi, the majority of the combos in that video are totally non-optimal. :v:

That, or you're never going to get the chance to use them, seeing as how getting things like reversal CDTs with 100 meter on cornered opponents usually doesn't happen.

The only practical combo I saw that I've actually done against Hakumen and Lambda a few times is the TK CH bat combo. That's probably the best use of bat outside of reversal and BAR FIGHT NIGGA (214D) combos.

I'm I the only one that doesn't like Platinum's Green/Miku colour? If I wanted Miku I'd choose Rachel's one - it looks much better.

I like Plat's green color because it's green. If I wanted Miku, I'd play Project DIVA.

Also, the frying pan overhead, 3C>22C RC corner carry, and TK CH bat combos are the only practical ones. Mami pan combo is legit if the opponent isn't in the habit of bursting mami starters. :v

And I'd trade the upgraded bat for a huge table any time.

Plat's green color isn't Miku. Rachel's palette 13 is. Doesn't stop me from using it though, green's one of my favorite colors and it's similar enough to Miku for me to pick it to match my Miku fightstick. ( ´ー`)

I like green, however I think the mix of green on that palette is horrid. I prefer her other green/White colour.

Quick question. I'm having trouble with this combo. It's a combo into Super Missile: Heartcar 5C 2C 236236D 6C 22C 5C j.CD land dash 2C 22C 5C FADC into saltiness

Anyway, I have two questions here. Is this even the optimal combo in this situation? And if so, how do you guys time the 6C consistently? It kills me.

i don't think it's optimal, but i haven't tested it so.. also the 6C connects earlier than you think it does, don't be afraid to alter the timing to be sooner than you usually do it. as for the 22C after that it's just a matter of having a good idea of 22C recovery, which will come in time

edit: actually wait that's the usual super missile combo, except for the 5C FADC shit which i don't even know is supposed to mean

FADC is a Street Fighter notation for Focus Attack > Dash Cancel, usually used to link into Ultra Attacks. I assume he means 5c > Dradle Super.

but the optimal combo off of a 100P1 starter with 50 heat and missile next weapon isn't that spud, it's

5C > 236B > dash 5C > 2C > 236236D > 6C > 22C > 5C > j.C > j.D > land > dash > 2C > 22C > 5C > j.C JC j.C > j.D > land > dash > 2C > 214C > jump j.D > land > dash 3C > 632146C 64 meter, 8306 damage

also this combo is so fun

3C 22C RC dash 2C 214C walk forward 6C 22C dash 6A 22C dash 5C 6A 236B

4k and very nice corner push :3

And yeah, that carry combo is quite fun. I can't remember where I got it from, but I know it was a Platinum mirror match, and one of the players was Shiromadoushi (he wasn't the one who did the combo, though he tried it out later in the same match). Too bad it won't work in the next game. :(

that combo was in cirno's combo videos, which i transcribed among various other combos stolen from the japanese here.

edit: also oh wow just messing around in training mode, you can do

3C 22C RC dash 2C 214C walk forward 6C 22C dash 6A 22C dash 5C 6A 236B dash 3C 632146C for 5.4k

might be a nice way to finish someone off if you have 100 meter and score a 3C hit :3

If you ever find out which video had that Plat mirror match, by the way, lemme know. I'm pretty interested in who the other Plat player was. There was so much cool stuff in that video, but I wasn't even able to do 214C 6C 22C combos back then, so I didn't pay attention to it at all. @_@

I actually forget the rest of the combo as I was typing (the end part wasn't what gave me trouble anyway) so I just put something, and FADC is a Street Fighter term.

yes, there's going to be a new balance patch released along with a new character, relius. the new version is called BBCS2:Extend and is basically the same deal as CS1 to CS2. balance changes, new character, new system voice etc.

Mind if I ask, how important is the 6A 22C in most of the combo? Like, a must-be-perfect execution if you want to play Platinum. I still couldn't do it after week of practice. I could connect 5C after stuff like 6C 22C after bubble in corner, but whenever I tried to mix a 6A after 6C 22C, the opponent always managed to tech out. Tried out various timing, but I still can't seem to grasp the right one.

Also, is there any rule for which variation of 22C to use in combo? Sometimes I saw people use 6C 22C, and sometimes it's 6C 236C j.C 22C.

To be completely honest, 6A 22C is only good for that extra 400 damage. like if you did the hammer loop with a Mami Circular starter, instead of getting 7.3k exactly, you would get 7.4k+ and so forth. It's not very important but It could be the deciding factor in finishing off your opponent and for your 2nd question,each variation depends on what the starter of the combo was, proration does take a huge part in her 22C combos hence why opponents tech out early.

You only get 100+ damage from using 6A 22C from mami starter. 7424 damage. :/ what a rip.

He has timing problems with it, that's why. Just practice some more is about the only advice I can offer. If you can't connect 6A, either your previous 22C too late or the combo is too prorated.
