The only way Noel can avoid this is using Spring Raid, but if you block you can punish it; -Against Noel's oki (and basically against any char), you can do 1ABC->delay->6AB if you have meter. The 1ABC part will block->CA if she attacks and break throws. If she delay the throw for a Throw Reject Miss, the 6AB will do a 6B that will punish the throw; -5B, 6A and 6C defeats Noel's 2D, however she still can punish the 6C with 5D. -6A defeats 4D if you are close enough The 1ABC->6AB tricky is very useful, good to know about it. edit: credits - Nikki for helping me translating it. LunaKage Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 6A beats 2D, 5D and 4D(in certain situations) but watch out for 3C. Play keepaway, there is no reason to get in close since Tao can space pretty well with her longer ranged normals. j.C dominates Noel, we can't beat it with drive, and if spaced well it's really hard for us to anti-air it at all.
SkyKing Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Also, Tao's movement should be her best defense in this matchup. Noel doesn't have the tools to combat a hit-and-run strategy, so she is left to rely on good reads and guesses. Juking and feinting to make Noel whiff a 6A or drive is very advantageous for Tao, and if anything else, use that mobility to reset your position and continue working the in-and-out game against her.
