Vulcan422 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 We also need to find out if they went back and re-recorded the lines done by sound-alikes for CS2 with the original VAs.

Vulcan422 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Does the video need to load a certain amount to start playback? It's not playing at all for me.
.:TM:. Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 It needs to buffer first and I had to pause and unpause a few times then it just decided to start playing.
Vulcan422 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 English Relius was also featured on Kurushii's stream. It was more godlike than I had imagined. Some quotes from his Astral Generic 1: "Detonator, activate! Come, now, and show me...the value of your soul." Generic 2: "Ignis, finish them! You're an interesting specimen. Now, let the experiments begin!" Carl: "You've been a very naughty boy. I find it hard to believe you're my offspring. Spare the rod, spoil the child!" Hazama: "So be it. What say you, Hazama? Surely you've had your fun?"

Vulcan422 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Yes it does have an archive. Check the home page and the stream calendar. Also I'm not sure, but when fighting Relius I think they changed Hazama's voice again.

Kurushii Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 So im in love with Ignis's 2D. Ground combos are so much fun with Relius. :3
MashThat5A Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 So im in love with Ignis's 2D. Ground combos are so much fun with Relius. :3 I love Ignis's 2D for block strings. I don't really use it in combos because of how much meter it costs.
Critical Edge Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 2D takes up too much meter period. I like using 6D better now that I can properly connect it with other moves. Be it a blockstring or otherwise.

Rhiya Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 2D is definitely meter rape, and you need that meter to be able to do the more damaging combo variations. I get the feeling that learning to use 6D instead is going to be damn important. That's not to say it shouldn't be used at all, but you definitely need to be aware of how much Ignis meter it eats. Meter management is looking more important for Relius than I thought, after learning several corner combo variations.
MashThat5A Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) Oh, you guys should try to learn a combo that will restore a lot of doll meter. The one I like to do is stuff>6B(JC)>j.236C>2C>236C>5B>5C(1)(HJC)>j.C>j.236C>j.214B. Corner only. Edited December 21, 2011 by MashThat5A
Kurushii Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Could you add a 5C(2) before the 2C and still finish it?
MashThat5A Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Depends on the starter. Also, 5C(2) knocks some characters too high. You can add a 5C(1) though. You can also remove the 5B after the 236C. So it's now stuff>6B(JC)>j.236C>5C(1)>2C>236C>5C(1)(HJC)>j.C>j.236C>j.214B
Rhiya Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Oi, thanks for that combo. Gonna check that later.

Another one I learned was: 5B+C > 5B > 2C > 6C > (slight delay)236C > 66 > 6B > jB > jC > #IdHaas > 2C > 4D > 3C Also, if you want to save some of Ignis's meter and you have 50 Heat then you can just RC after a 236C, put her away, and go for a combo. After getting some of her meter back you can just #IdHaas and end the combo. Mostly works in the corner though.
LunarSelenia Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Don't know if anyone posted it, but if anyone is curious: Relius DLC Colors Forgot how much points they were but you had to be lvl.7 I believe. I'll go back to lurking >>;;

LunarSelenia Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 LUUUUUNAAAAR!!!!!! No! Don't lurk! Discuss Relius with us! Okay fine, I have a legit question, considering I only JUST got the game and am starting to learn combos: As far as neutral game, how are you supposed to approach certain characters? I know we have JP vids, but I feel like if we try to just run up and poke with like 5B or something, 5C will be too short and can't continue into his normal BnBs. I've been using 214A as cover to approach, I've been seeing like 214D being used, etc. My guess is that Relius needs doll cover to approach anyone? (I have a 45 minute vid of Tsubaki vs. Mu/Relius vs. Mu bunched into together but I can't split the vid or edit it. It'll sit on my desktop for awhile). I know I was using 214B against Mu Habaya zoning Day 1 Relius >>;;
Kurushii Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I been doing 214A or 214C to cover. Also 214B to try to catch them off guard for a easy followup. Main normals I been using on entry are 2A, 5B, jA, or jB. If you get in and they block while Ignis is out do 2D and start your mixup game.

Tsubaki habits have me pressing j.C all the time for jump ins >>;; None of the 214X moves have super armor though right? EDIT: Sorry Solar is playing my game and I'm about to leave so I can't check atm.
MashThat5A Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 No, I'm pretty sure Ignis can be hit out of everything.
