_Sey Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Hey~ I've been trying out Mu for a few days, and I'm now looking into her oki setups. I saw that Eyes setup that C0R posted in the oki thread, and I've also saw H.H's video where he demonstrates it (it's the one he does on Lambda at ~0:45, isn't it?), what I don't understand is: Any corner combo that includes one mid/low loop, doesn't work off the high loop. I understand she has a loop in the corner, but what are the differences between a mid/low one, and an high one? I'm trying to do the setup (to no avail) off: 5b > 5c > 2c > SoD > 66~6a > :6b > 66~6a > j.2c > j.5d > 66~2b > 5c > 2c > (back)j.2c > j.5d So I'm not sure if I'm failing to replicate it because I'm doing the wrong kind of loop or because my timing of the late j.5D cancel/214D is wrong.

Kayahtic Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 C0R, do you ever Netplay? I'm sure the answer is no. But I figured I'd ask anyway.
pktazn Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Our gd isn't like the Tsu one. We're SRZ BZNS. >[ So srz I can feel it through my computer screen going into my soul.
Aginor Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 C0R, do you ever Netplay? I'm sure the answer is no. But I figured I'd ask anyway. lolnetplay
C0R Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 C0R, do you ever Netplay? I'm sure the answer is no. But I figured I'd ask anyway. I netplayed today. I played Hazama, I hit them once, then combo'd into command grab exactly 71 times for a time out. Then I stopped netplaying. I find myself very, verrrrrry frustrated when trying to take netplay seriously, things just never work due to latency hiccups, and I lose my normally unshakeable cool very quickly.

Oh I see, understandable. I was going to say if you did it would be interesting to run into you and play you, even though I'm sure you would pwn me. Haha. Not only that but learn some tips up close from the C0R.
C0R Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Did I happen to run into you at SNCI? I was suprised to see two or three other people playing µ there.

ThunderboltZ28 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 If you do happen to play could you leave a spectator slot open? I wouldn't mind watching.
C0R Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Prehaps. In other news apparently the 3rd highest PSR player in Japan is a Mu player at 284. No videos of him are available though.
YukiBlue Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Oh how I wish Mu had a tad more health. My keep away game needs some serious work. Against Litchi & Hakumen I really struggle with spacing my Pokes. 5C is my favorite poke, But when faced against these two It's stupidly hard, I find myself relying on 236D and Just the drive in general. Any tips?
Aile Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I saw a Mu-12 cosplayer yesterday. My heart skipped a beat. ...Then I found out she was wearing shorts and not just the one piece outfit I durr'd .
Aile Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 My friend happens to have a photo of her. I shall snag it from him later today. Or take one myself if the mu-12 cosplayer appears again. maybe
SolarMisae Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) Oh how I wish Mu had a tad more health. My keep away game needs some serious work. Any tips? Hakumen is like, rock paper scissors...sorta. He's kinda like the Tager matchup, just think Tager has an air dash and good normals now. Play cautiously and stay the fuck away. Sit full screen whenever possible, don't rush him without cover. If he cuts a projectile and decides to just camp behind his barrier, big deal....when he does that I feel like just letting him get the meter from camping and using the time to set up more steins. Plus you can dash in a enough to set up 6Ds behind the barrier anyways...so he's can't reliably hide behind it forever, cause you can still detonate them if he doesn't hide completely in the barrier. Lasers are mostly not that good against him, but explosions are. the 6D > 4D > 214D setup is good for him, cause he's so big. Also 2C is good here, since he likes to approach from the air. Knock him out if he tries to jump in on you. Keeping him blocking and cautious is the best thing to do. Hakumen versus Mu is a staring contest almost..or at least, thats what it feels like to me. Both can sit comfortably full screen and wait till the other has a flaw in their defense and then take advantage of it. As for Litchi...we don't have one in our scene...so I can't help you there. ^^; Edited October 2, 2011 by SolarMisae
BeaverDeity Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 just Tager has an air dash and good normals now. When I read that I got scared for a moment, then re-read it and realized what you really meant haha
SolarMisae Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 When I read that I got scared for a moment, then re-read it and realized what you really meant haha Tager with an air dash and good normals would scare me a lot. But no worries...it's okay, he's still bad. We can rest easy.
LuminAbyss Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Just mash Inferno Divider guys. Be like "Hold this DP, I'm out."
