SansProtocol Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I resent that :3333333 Resent what? I don't see what you're talking about.
Jyosua Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Then play CS2 until they change it back (if they do). Just like people still will only play CT. No.The timing on some combos and corner DP Loop were adjusted because they were much easier than they should be. I was under the impression that the corner DP loop's 5B link is actually easier now, given that I can do it in Extend, but not CSII. As far as what I was complaining about: It's not timing alone, it's the tiny ass dash. But I digress.Again, you have the choice to play Jin and deal, change your main, or just stick to ezmodo CS2 Jin. Again, I'm not going to change main. Been playing Jin since CT, and I don't plan to ever stop. Unless stated otherwise on here, we usually always have weeklies on Saturdays. Just ask in advance. ♥ I have, and have never been told anything about location. [*]You have had advance notice of this and other tournaments, save up your money if you really want to go. I'm busy saving my money for the thousands of dollars I'll need to move across the country this summer. I can't afford the time or money to go to every tournament that comes up, and I can justify it even less knowing that I'd lose immediately, unless paired against someone of my own skill level. Perhaps my perception of tournaments is warped, but if I can't beat any of the people I regularly play against on Netplay and given my experiences at a previous tournament I entered, until I start winning casuals I can't justify that much of an expense. If I improve and start wining casual matches at least occasionally, then I'll consider it. Until then, I'm happy with a small tournament every few months and casual matches either in person or on Netplay in between. [*]We all have to spend money in some fashion to go to these tournaments, some spend more every week by hosting said weeklies without ever asking for anything in return or bitching about it. No one enjoys paying for stuff. We do it to enjoy ourselves, hang out with wonderful people and have fun getting good at any FG that we can get our dirty little hands on. I'm aware. Just realize that my circumstances with my college life and my eventual move this year place a lot of restrictions on what I can and can't do. But like I said, when I can, I will. Just don't push for more. [*]Stop complaining. Silly me, I didn't realize voicing opinions wasn't allowed.
pktazn Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Resent what? I don't see what you're talking about. Don't you main Hakumen?
Demon Wind Bomb Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) I resent that :3333333 Tsubaki will win Evo, despite her changes. I can see it now. Actually fuck that. I'm winning Evo. Edited January 13, 2012 by Demon Wind Bomb

I know right, all this shit talk in regards to supporting the scene ... SansProtocol where were you during Red Spark and SU4, if Romey made it so could yall. If someone can't make it to something because of financial issues you sure as hell have no room to talk ... fucking hypocrites . Edited January 13, 2012 by Setsuna
Demon Wind Bomb Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Guys we shouldn't be fighting amongst each other. We should band together and focus on the real enemy. Georgia. pktazn vs DWB: Memory of Tiers Evo grudge match GAOOOO~ If I could go to Evo Your Noel is hella good from what I remember. You'd probably beat me lol It's hard to say. I heard your Tsubaki was pretty good too, so I would imagine it going either way. DWB I want my rematch that I never got at SU4 :x You know if theres one match up I always forget to consider ... its a mirror match lol Somehow I managed to forget to fight both you and Romey at SU4. Next tournament we will definately have a rematch, Extend style.

Somehow I managed to forget to fight both you and Romey at SU4. Next tournament we will definately have a rematch, Extend style. This is why you're my favorite <3 Oh we will for sure, I can imagine both of us heading to NVG for matchup experience against each other lol
Jyosua Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Guys we shouldn't be fighting amongst each other. We should band together and focus on the real enemy. Georgia. I lol'd. Well played, good sir.
SansProtocol Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Don't you main Hakumen? You're right, I do have eyes for everyone. :3 No. Again, I'm not going to change main. Been playing Jin since CT, and I don't plan to ever stop. Well, you know what to do then. I was under the impression that the corner DP loop's 5B link is actually easier now, given that I can do it in Extend, but not CSII. As far as what I was complaining about: It's not timing alone, it's the tiny ass dash. But I digress. Look, it's not that I don't think some nerfs or changes to his game aren't going to be a bit hard to adjust to. I just have a problem with constant posts on this thread and the Facebook group about them without just bucking up and working through the changes. I mean, think of the Tsubaki players who got metaphorically shit on and how positive and steadfast they've been. Realize how much you still have with Jin and that he's still very viable. I have, and have never been told anything about location. I'm busy saving my money for the thousands of dollars I'll need to move across the country this summer. I can't afford the time or money to go to every tournament that comes up, and I can justify it even less knowing that I'd lose immediately, unless paired against someone of my own skill level. Just realize that my circumstances with my college life and my eventual move this year place a lot of restrictions on what I can and can't do. But like I said, when I can, I will. Just don't push for more. If you're moving across the country, the last thing you should be worried about is video games. So I totally understand if you need to skip tournaments to save for the trip (trust me, moved pretty suddenly into my own house and got back into college on my own accord, it's still hard after 6 months.). However, get out to casuals and you'll get prepared for any tournament you may have money/time to enter in Florida or wherever. Don't let the fear of failure ruin your chance at succeeding someday. Silly me, I didn't realize voicing opinions wasn't allowed. They aren't opinions, they're statements of fact repeated ad nauseum. We've all experienced ups and downs with our characters when different versions come and go. The time you spend over-exaggerating how bad you have it is annoying and to some players of lower-tier characters, insulting. I know right, all this shit talk in regards to supporting the scene ... SansProtocol where were you during Red Spark and SU4, if Romey made it so could yall. If someone can't make it to something because of financial issues you sure as hell have no room to talk ... fucking hypocrites . Red Spark: Just moved into new place next to campus a month before, used most of the last bit of cash for that, needed weekend to study for exam. College/Food vs. Games; think I made the proper choice.Storm Underground 4: My mom (who has three herniated discs in the lumbar section of her spine) asked me the Tuesday before the tournament for help to move their office furniture and supplies (they couldn't pay so they had to move out). If I didn't stay here, it would be just her and my step-dad to do all of it. Basically on-call the entire weekend, was never needed as they got people, and had the money. Pissed I missed the tournament in hindsight but I wanted to stay for them. I have gone to tournaments before, I tell people to go because tournaments are something they should experience first-hand. They're a blast and I've always enjoyed myself. And it's not the fact that he may be able to make it to a tournament or not, it's the dramaticism that Jyosua has when he might have to put forth effort. But then again, you probably don't understand how truly petty that seems, right King Shit of Fuck Mountain? When you have to take more than a straight shot down I-95 to travel to tournaments or aren't truly dependent on other people to pay for living expenses, you let me know.

I find it funny that you assume I'm NOT actively practicing and trying to adjust. Doesn't mean it doesn't annoy the shit out of me and that I don't want to vent. Coincidentally, there's not much below Jin. Yeah, Tsubaki players have had it rough. "Time I spend"? Seriously, it takes like 2 minutes and a few measly lines to write what my beef with the changes are. I have gone to tournaments before, I tell people to go because tournaments are something they should experience first-hand. They're a blast and I've always enjoyed myself. I've put forth plenty effort. If you want more people to show up for things, don't treat them like shit. Everyone wants to improve, including me. If you want effort, how about the hundreds of hours I spent over break learning my CSII BnBs better and learning pressure and defense? How about the 4 hours I spent practicing last night? With an attitude like yours, you're just pushing people away from the scene.

Then dude don't be a dick about it to him and to the scene you have. I'm done with you and this topic, irl you're a bro and I love you but over the internet you're an ass. I'll see you at Winterfest and hug you and shit and kick chairs.
Romeyurhomey Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) I understand we all have lives.. Also 5v5 Teams @ Project Storm Surge Prize will be... A MELTY BLOOD PLUSH PILLOW and probably a piece of paper saying you won because we're poverty lol. Edited January 13, 2012 by Romeyurhomey
pktazn Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Awwww shit that's one helluva prize and the piece of paper would be like high school graduation again.
Guardian Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 One single pillow for a 5 man team? That doesn't sound right at all. Can we all stop being dicks and play the game and have fun? Jyosua- My info: Adonis 17110 Carrington Park Dr. #832 Tampa, FL 33647 314-807-2129 You can yahoo map/GPS/Google directions. Now come out and play.
Romeyurhomey Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Actually I bought 5 so each person can have one, damn i'm not that ghetto/poverty.
Setsuna Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 Romey you never cease to amaze me, I won't want you to be the only one contributing so I'm on a interweb hunt now :x

With an attitude like yours, you're just pushing people away from the scene. You're right, it's pretty ass of me to assume that you have been trying to better your game in some fashion. It's wrong for me to belittle any desire to step your game up.Last part: "Figure out which one you can go to and we'll give you directions." Seemed like you weren't being active on your end by telling people when/if you're coming. Adonis gave you his address so it's all jelly, I just hate giving people's addresses and such away without their consent or knowledge.Say I, a Hakumen player. IIRC CS2 just ended recently and Hakumen was low tier (arguably, still kinda doubt that) and Jin was pretty high up there. But most times, that shit didn't matter as I still won games because skill trumps most things in this game.Fine, prove me wrong. I would love to see that I wasn't correct and have been a total ass when I shouldn't have. Hell, I'll apologize in person and on here for the shit that I've said if you come to casuals. I have no issue and will help 100% to assist people in bettering their game if I can. I'm fine with people telling me "fuck you" and hating me as long as it may ignite some fire in their gut to get better at the game. Then dude don't be a dick about it to him and to the scene you have. I'm done with you and this topic, irl you're a bro and I love you but over the internet you're an ass. I'll see you at Winterfest and hug you and shit and kick chairs. Fine, I'll let actions speak louder than words and get this shit on the road. See you at Winterfest, dork. Can we all stop being dicks and play the game and have fun? Roger, Osprey 1, coming in for a landing and cooling off.
Jyosua Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 You can yahoo map/GPS/Google directions. Now come out and play. Thanks for being reasonable. What time? And do you need me to bring an extra copy of Extend?

SansProtocol Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Thanks for being reasonable. What time? And do you need me to bring an extra copy of Extend? Don't have definite time but we usually start around 2 or 3. Adonis lives within a short mile of the other two people (Romey and Brian) who host as well so you won't have to go far out of your way if we have casuals at another person's place. And yes, please do bring your copy as we usually have a second set-up for other things. image It's an term of endearment. ♥
Setsuna Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 So yall I have a question in regards to training alone. Im practicing different combos using different starters, midscreen and in the corner, and with and without counter hit on them but sometimes I get alittle tired of experimenting which leads me to my question below. Is it a viable method to practice in training mode with the CPU on the highest difficult to practice my reaction to mixup's, cross up's and then also using this to practice punishing as well. I'm need to the training mode lab work so bare with me. Also another problem I have is how to practice my blockstrings, ideally how do I want to go about doing that.
Jyosua Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Hey guys, does CEO have an entry fee, or is it a casual tournament? Just curious.
Jyosua Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I meant Winterfest, my bad. They both have CEO in the name. :P
