Romeyurhomey Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 If you superjump right on wakeup then you can sorta get of out of relius unblockable/mixup in the corner. It's not a 100% but it worked about 40% of time. I understand what Relius is doing but i'm just trying to learn how to and find holes in his pressure.

If they see you doing that they can bait it the next time and hit you with wallbounce 4D into a really damaging punish. :X

Lol trust me, with the way I play I don't think I've been really playing Tsubaki at all ;P I've taken a break from BB since SU4 since there's no point messing with CS2 anymore with Extend coming out soon. In the meanwhile, I've stepped up my AE2012, UMvC3, and KoFXIII game <_< Also have been messing around with MBAACC and AH3 on the side.

If my internet wasn't ass I'd say play MBAACC with me. Why you no on consoles yet I would totally pay full price for it.

I'm also trying to introduce melty blood to the players who attend casuals at Boca too. Sadly I lack a laptop that can play it properly, or a driver that can run PS3 controllers on Windows 7

When I said "messing around with", I literally mean I've just been screwing around doing random moves and trying all the characters out. I mean, I can probably amuse you with some basic stuff, but nothing fancy here lol. Also, I must have missed the memo, but I haven't figured out to 1) Set controls to fightstick (I tried guessing, but I couldn't get the joystick to work, only the buttons), and 2) How do you set up netplay? Lol we'll learn together because I have not touched Extend Tsubaki at all. Sounds good. Might spend an hour in training Friday night so I don't make myself look too bad!

Surely we should at least have 3 copies of the game; Mine, Brian and Joshua's as far as I know. Anyone else that shows up with a copy will be an unexpected plus.

You dropped some bad habits and got better with your normal hitconfirm use. Keep it up man. I appreciate the encouragement. XD I've been practicing practically every day. I need to start learning more situational combos and hit confirming off sweeps and overheads. I also need a good Jin play to give me some direction for keeping constant pressure on the opponent. I've turned to spamming Ice Swords and 2D, and occasionally running in for an in-your-face pressure string. I don't like running in though, because after 1 or two strings, I lose pace and can't keep it up. Terra told me earlier that same day I fought you to "Stop pressing buttons =[" because I was impatient and kept getting myself stuck in counter-combos. XD I tried to keep that in mind when fighting everyone else that day. Also, hey Azure, how the hell should I approach you in a match? You like wait for me to come into close range so you can smack me into a huge combo, but aside from spamming ice swords, what do you suggest? I'm not sure if that's a difficult link or you just trying to adjust still but I think that needs to be worked out as well as prioritizing your damage. With Jin I would think you want to make the most out of any D special move you use, it does cost 25% heat after all, I noticed a lot of midscreen 623D which is something you definitely shouldn't be doing unless my back is to the corner and I'm running at you on the ground at full speed. Also another note I'd like to make ... KNOW WHEN TO USE BURST. There were times when you used it at the beginning of the round and at the very end of a round when you were nearly pixels away from losing and your opponent had life lead. Hmm, well the only time I can think that you might be referring to is the Sekkajin > 66 6C > 2D section. Yeah, I drop that a lot. The 66 is a microdash that requires pretty impeccable timing. I'm still getting used to it and in all honesty I'm considering dropping that combo in favor of things I know I'll rarely, if ever, drop. Double Sekkajin is nice to be able to pull off, but if you fail that microdash, you either have to 214C on reaction (assuming you hit with 6C in time) or you've dropped the combo and the oki is absolute shit. Midscreen 623D is me being a noob. XD I did that when I really couldn't think of anything else to try, so I decided to go for breaking primers. I never fight Noel, so I don't quite know the matchup or what to use. When all else fails, I go for guard break. I'd rather guard break from a distance, rather than sloppily apply close-quarters pressure only to have you counter, ass-bump me into a corner and destroy my health bar. Yeah the burst mistakes were me being dumb, either thinking you had done more damage than you really had, or on instinct after being pounded in the corners. There were a few times that night that I burst with barely any life left, and afterwards thought to myself "Oh fuck, that was really dumb... why did I do that!?" Didn't Hige need a ride? what about ka-roo-sheeeeeeeee? Yeah, Hige mentioned something but hasn't posted in the thread in a while. If Kurushii needs a ride still, I can probably swing by St. Pete, but I'd need to leave home a lot earlier. Edit: Nevermind, Kuru's busy.

I need to get a converter so I can play that game more often. H V-Sion isn't bad but I prefer C V-Sion for some reason. Also I've come to the conclusion that I won't ever like Full moon style.

I spoke with Bolvy-chan and he said in some cases F-style is actually good depending on the character but I agree considering I'm playing around with C-Powered Ciel atm :x
