Jyosua Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 You could make your life easy and just main Ragna, with Haku as your sub. If I wanted easy, I'd main Ragna with Jin as my sub, because I already know him. But no, I'm not going to main fagna. >

I'm a bit curious about his playstyle now.
Jyosua Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Swagna, Fagna, Skillna; it's all the same in my book.

I'm a bit curious about his playstyle now. I dislike Jin's new playstyle. He's got good corner carry, but that's assuming a counterhit 6B, crouching opponent or 5B starter. And even then, I just can't seem to pull off the j.214A wallbounce shit. I can do that j.C catch, but playing stick keeps me from doing that wallbounce thing.
SansProtocol Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10698-CS2-EX-Hakumen-Info-and-Discussion&p=1272326&viewfull=1#post1272326 That post, plus that entire thread is all good info. Indigo is working on gathering up the combos for the wiki and I'm doing general move descriptions/uses and matchups. It's all a bit chaotic still.

Gaaah, why does Hakumen's combos not just use the DL notation everywhere! I don't know all of these names yet D:
SansProtocol Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Yeah, Hakumen's names for moves are usually one word, so it helps. Otherwise, .
Zero Shift Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Wait why are doing Challenge Mode?! This isn't street fighter/umvc3. Probably for the trophy because god forbidden he be doing it to actually try and learn something ... because thats what Dustloop is for. Challenge mode helps you to learn the basics of a character and see what attacks link into eachother for a true red combo. For some people, it's more convenient to start up the game and just get on challenge mode to get a feel for a character they want to learn about instead of going through pages here on Dustloop. Not to mention that sometimes, getting that firsthand feel of the characters is better than reading about them. Maybe that's just me, it's what I did before I picked my main, I did every character's challenge mode to see what characters and BnBs I felt comfortable with, then came here to read further in depth details about the characters I liked. Each person is different though, so I won't preach that method lol.
Kurushii Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I just go to the lab and figure it out myself, or heaven forbids looking at a gatling chart and making combos with it..
SansProtocol Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I now see why the wiki is being put into place. I mean, yeah, I can find stuff pretty easy because I know where to look but for most people,

Zero Shift Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Meh, I just go to the character specific forums and look at their combo discussion threads. And since my computer monitor is also my gaming monitor, I either try to remember one combo, or write them down, then switch over to the game and practice lol.

Use your phone to look at Dustloop. C. Rock that old school pencil and paper.

I just take the shot to make it easier to convince myself that CS2 combos will still work. :3 A. Buy another monitor. B. Use your phone to look at Dustloop. C. Rock that old school pencil and paper. D. INVENT THE BLAZBLUE BIBLE! (Trademarked by SansProtocol because he's a data nerd)
Romeyurhomey Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Its true Kyle walks around with frame data and combo listing for BB. Nigga is the king of theory fighting.

Zero Shift Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 A. Buy another monitor. B. Use your phone to look at Dustloop. C. Rock that old school pencil and paper. No money for another monitor/tv at the moment. When I do have money, it tends to go towards other, more important things. Phone is viable, but I tend to use pencil and paper instead.
pktazn Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I personally, usually need some kind of basis before trying to figure out new things. Basically, I need some kind of inspiration or even just a stroke of luck. Though sometimes I just go into arcade or training and see if something will end up working or not for the fun of it. Hint: It doesn't 90% of the time lol
Jyosua Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Challenge mode is helpful for getting an idea of how the character moves. For actual combos, you come here.
M.Song Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 M.Song is in Gainesville, but he's plays GGAC mostly. Don't know of too many BB players there. oh sorry i forgot to tell you... i live in orlando-ish now
