Guardian Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Good to know the test thing isn't just me; maybe it is a FL professor conspiracy. I was thinking of coming on Friday and cracking out, then leaving saturday morning. I'll have to see though, I might have some....errr.....PIPE LAYING business to handle.
pasteycracker Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Takin a dumppppp at work fuck yea. Get money.
Kamano Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Just hanging out. Bein da best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVUyyHYkBHk
HIGEKING42 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 my test is the day ex comes out. I still think you have to pay to get in a SU anyway.
AlxIce Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 It's $10 for spectators, not much imo since there will most likely be casuals afterwards and before hand.

You might have a girl or two to entertain with your penis, we got ya. Don't have to beat around the bush about it, just give it straight. Lucky bastard.
Romeyurhomey Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Didn't know this site was fucking Okcupid or ratemyprofessor.com But seriously, I might not make it to Final Round because of school as well. If I miss a day of teaching internship I'll fail the class because going to a tournament in the college of Education's eyes is not a legitimate excuse to miss internship.
Kurushii Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Jyosua I'll play you. I want to get my level up higher LOL :3
HIGEKING42 Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Yea i still won't have the money for final round even to spectate.
Jyosua Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Jyosua I'll play you. I want to get my level up higher LOL :3 That was what, 3/52? :P
Kurushii Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Something like that. GG's though man. I was actually having fun making new setups and combos on you. I laughed so hard when I landed the pseudo-unblockable on you a few times. :3
Jyosua Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Which one was that? Also, gg on the grab during that one mixup. I expect shitloads of cross-overs and cross-throughs, but I did not expect a grab during it. I've figured out what kind of spacing I need to keep against Relius though. I got better in the last 20 games. XD I have a little trouble actually keeping you pressured in the corner, but I did manage to hit-confirm into my DP loop combos a couple times, which I need to be more automatic. Also found out 2A beats out your overhead. Still having trouble once you get me cornered though. I need to change up what I do to recover in the corner more often, be it rolls, DPs, CAs, or simply blocking.
Kurushii Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 The knockdown into yoyo + overhead. The best thing I can say for corner is DON'T PUSH BUTTONS.
Jyosua Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) You say that, but if I do nothing but block, you know full well that you'll just keep me in the corner. In the beginning of those matches I just blocked most of the time, but then you'd either hit me with a tick-throw or overhead. I can probably react to the overheads now, but every time I tried to escape you hit me into a corner combo. The tick-throws are near unreactable. I've tried pressing the buttons as soon as I see the green exclamation point, specifically waiting for you to try to grab me, and I still couldn't react fast enough. On another note, you're using a ton of frame traps, so I can't tell when to mash A all the time. I kept trying at what I thought was the end of a string and then got smacked by Ignis. Kurushii Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) Remember all you have to do is hit Ignis to make her go away. Don't use your ice as she is invulnerable against it cause Jin's ice is projectile property. Throws are harder to tech online cause of the latency. Don't forget you have 623C, if the pressure is too tough you could try it fast between a gap. Majority of Ignis's startups are 40+ frames long. If Ignis is out expect a frame trap. Simple as that. Relius's character is designed around having great frame traps instead of mixups. Edited February 9, 2012 by Kurushii
Jyosua Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Hmm. Is there generally a gap after Id Lauger? Or is that truly just a frame trap? I can try to DP under pressure, but given that I screw up DPs in the corner all the time simply due to nerves, I'd imagine that it would be hard for me to not fuck it up.
Kurushii Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I think you are getting confused on moves. Id Lauger isn't used in blockstrings. If it came out it was a execution mistake. It's hard to punish cause it pushes the opponent back on block. It's -23 so you can punish it just you'll have to play around in training mode and figure out what you can use. If you are thinking that ...> 5C(2) > 6C > 214A one you had problems beating yesterday you can beat it during 6C startup. If you don't beat it then you'll have problems because of the distance.
Jyosua Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Wow, 6C has 20 frames of startup? Shit, wish I'd of known that. Also, update the images on the wiki! I can't see what Id Haas looks like. XD

XD I didn't want to put the images on his wiki till I get the hitbox images. Check the Relius section on the forums for my tech thread if you want clear images. Yea dude it's unsafe as fuck. You just didn't punish it so I kept doing it. Lol
AlxIce Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 The knockdown into yoyo + overhead. The best thing I can say for corner is DON'T PUSH BUTTONS. This. This 100%, what people need to understand in fighting games is that blocking is the most important thing to learn. If you're in the corner being pressured, block and find an opening. Jump or punish with 2a/5a or just dp them, but don't mash. Seriously. Learning to block in any fighting game, not just this one works wonders.

Zero Shift Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Blocking is the only reason I can do even half decent in mvc3 against my friends. That and dante. You play Dante in UMvC3?
Jyosua Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Yeah; not very well, but I do know a few of his combos. I usually play Zero, Dante, and whoever I feel like trying third.
