Sadeyo Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Maybe I should've said it didn't involve TK loops as they're not landed consistently, even at high level play. The amount of hits with the JC I didn't bother to count them and took a random guess so it was already invalid. I have witnessed one too many Hazama's take victories without the need of that loop but used gimmicks and perks throughout the match, my personal favorite would be to replace the second jc with Hungry Coils and you can still get in a dash 3c xn. Sorry, I plan to be that few who are not heavily reliant on the Hirentotsu loop and still net great damage and meter gain. It's not limiting myself but actually being practical in situations.

That's fine, sometimes you can't fit in one TK rep or the other or even both. However, the combo you posted is not the correct non-TK midscreen Zaneiga combo. Allow me to cure your misguidedness. Here are the two prominent non-TK combos: 1) 214D~C > (dash) 6C > dash 2C > j.C x 5 > land then forward jump immediately > j.C x 5 > 5C > hjc > j.C x 5 > j.214B 2) 214D~C > (dash) 6C > dash 5C or 2C > j.C x 5 > 2C > 4D~D > j.B > j.C x 2 > j.C x 5 > j.214B
Sharakonta Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Metal I have one question, why da hell do you carry a tin of mortons with ya?
Sadeyo Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 (edited) Excuse me for the wrong notations but those were the variations I was doing for the last two days on every character. I did learn that to some exception of some characters I could do 6d~a > 4d~a> 623d after the second 2c in the combo. I was thinking of making a video of these variations for extend. edit- just a little help for the hit box that some may have trouble with, especially platinum. Shut-up Zeron, you're not making the situation better. >_<; Edited February 9, 2012 by Sadeyo
MetalMaelstrom Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Metal I have one question, why da hell do you carry a tin of mortons with ya? I bought it from the convenient store right next to UFO. The tin of Morton's cost $1.39 as opposed to the matching salt and pepper shakers that cost $1.99. I figured I would need it in order to gargle salt water. I watched the stream archive and realized that it didn't help at all. I'm just going to talk quieter next time or something.
ZeroRaider Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Sadeyo - You can play however you can feel if it keeps you from fking up, but you're going to have to learn consistence in the loop eventually if you're ever going to want optimal damage and meter gain from when you get your hits in. KEEP AT IT DAMMIT. Allow me to cure your misguidedness. MetalMaelstrom Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Sey-kun~ I have a request again... A while back, I heard that it was possible to do relaunch on certain characters in Extend (like Jin, Rachel, Tager, etc.). I was wondering if you could test out the following combo for me and see if it works: 214D~C(Lvl 2) > (dash) 6C > dash 5C > 2C > 6D~A > 4D~A > j.7D~A > 623D > j.6D~C or D (whichever works) > 2C > j.C x 5 > 5C > hjc > j.C x 5 > j.214B If it doesn't work like that, try doing 5C > Jayoku and then that combo.
Putin Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Shouldn't CH Gasshoukyaku > 6D~A > j7D~A > Jakou > relaunch work in extend as well? I mean, regular relaunch is impossible (?) because of the chains' lvl reduction, correct? Then using three chains instead of four should probably work. Unless it's Jakou's slower recovery that screws things up.
Fluck Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Jakou's recovery is much heavier in this game, I am 99% sure that Jakou into j.6D will never work under any circumstances.
_Sey Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) Sorry, I've been kinda busy with school stuff (and FFXIII-2 ) lately. Spent very little time trying that out and it doesn't work (on Rachel). As Fluck said 623D recovery is pretty big now, so it's pretty much impossible. 623D recovery is so heavy that I'm pretty sure everyone will feel the difference when trying out CSEX for the first time, especially when trying to learn cross under Hountejin combos in the corner. fuck Tao btw, looping her twice midscreen is pretty gay. w/e > 214D~C > 6C > dash 5C > 2C > hirentotsu never hits her unless you were super close when you did 214D~C. Can still do it once by going into j.C x5 > dash 2C > hirentotsu > w/e though. Doesn't work consistently on Carl either, (amazingly) works fine on Platinum. Edited February 10, 2012 by _Sey

MetalMaelstrom Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I've been watching some match videos lately and... I'm sorry to say, but anyone who wants to play Hazama and is too stubborn to learn the TK loop... they're just cheating themselves out of a fuck-ton of free meter. I mean just look at this shit. LOOK AT IT. He goes from 29 to 97 heat in just one corner combo off a CH 2C > 623D hit-confirm. He probably could have made it to 100 if the 3C connected and maybe did 236D or 214D~A after it. No other combo in Hazama's arsenal even comes close to that amount of heat gain. The damage off of that was pretty stupid too for being meterless. It's one thing to go into an easier hitconfirm because of reaction time or spacing, but it's a different thing entirely if you have an ideal situation and plenty of time to react. P.S. I know this really isn't directed at most of you Hazbros since most of you already know the TK loop and logically wouldn't argue against how good it actually is. However, I think this is a good final message to those still with lingering disbelief or doubts. So yeah. Always do it when you have the chance. P.P.S. the minimum amount of reps (with proper 214D~B ender) in the corner even off a bad starter like 2A or 6A > 236236B is three.
Fluck Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I've seen it done. What were the circumstances?
Zeron_X25 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I don't remember. I think they were pretty normal.
