I just noticed something about Hazama

I think Hazama is a symbolic representation of Satan I noticed many similarities.

Anything having to do with snakes.

The devil is a liar and deceiver (sounds like a green haired guy I know)

Hazama trying to take down Takamagahara (the closest thing to a god in this game)

The way he betrays everyone.

Trapping Rachel into what I perceived as an artificial hell (before Ragna saved her)

kind of an obscure one but his supreme dislike of cats (judging by folklore how dogs seem to be hell animals like the hell hound and Cerberus).

And the fact that he invented the Blazblue and made it to where you have to say "Restriction 666" for it to activate.

Just something I found interesting.

It's annoying going up against characters that need momentum ex. Ragna. Sure he has his unsafe approach and a generic onslaught of pressure but our tools alone could get us so far in this match-up...Guess I'm just venting, lol. Nonetheless I got some good match-up experience against most of the cast and I wouldn't mind providing my own two cents against the match-ups.

Hence why I rarely go for it unless I'm 100% confident its going to connect. If someone went for it and totally whiffed it on say, a stream, and make a complete tool of themselves.

especially since it happened not once, not twice, but three times all ending in failure. RC so much easier and safer.

In related news, I've made important discoveries:

1. dash 2C after j.C x 5 is completely unnecessary 99% of the time. As long as you delay your 5C after you dash in after 6C, you should be fine.

2. Makoto's hitbox is a bitch. It's even worse than Carl's. Midscreen 5C > 2C > tk j.214B will whiff on her no matter what you do. The only thing that works on her midscreen that involves hirentotsu loops is (otg) 2C > j.C x 5 > dash 2C > tk j.214B

So, did anyone ever bother translating that video that Noze made about how to connect mizuchi in the corner on the whole cast?

Actually, I've lost the link to that video, so if anyone knows what I'm talking about and they could link it again it would save me some time (it was on niconico).

as for a string I found to work pretty much every time on Noel:

214D~C 6C [loop x1] dash [loop x2] dash [loop x2] 5C 2C 214D~B 3C Mizuchi

generally for Noel you want to be as close to the corner as possibile as well as at most/exactly at the distance two loop reps will put you at (yeah, I may have worded myself poorly on this, just try it out).

other random tidbits:

4B+C 214D~D j.6D~C [tk loop] combo -> against Valk must do j.8D~C ... otherwise it won't work.

4B+C Hountejin dash 214D~C(2) 6C [dashing loop x2] dash 5C j214B# [midscreen]

dmg: 4835 hg: 36

works on Mu (and i'm pretty sure on most of the cast except for makoto/tao/carl), and it seems to be the highest dmg combo I could find starting from a throw and 50% meter while midscreen, anyone got anything better?

4B+C > 236236B > dash > (S)214D~C > 6C > dash 5C > j.C x 5 > (dash) 2C > tk j.214B > dash 5C > 2C > tk j.214B > [dash 5C > 2C > 214D~B] x 2

Damage: 4755, Heat Gain: -50+41 Net = -9

Gets more meter back but does 80 less damage. Fine by me. The only really bad thing about this combo is that it gives the opponent 48 meter :(

Also, this works on everyone as-is. The dash 2C is required on Rachel and Makoto.

However, this is only off of special-cancelling the backthrow. I can imagine there's a better combo that involves 6B+C > 623D > dash Jayoku > stuff.
