His difficulty progressed with the games imo.

CS2 Hazama was fucking easy. That's not what I call progressing in difficulty.

Well, no he did and he didn't. See, CS1 everything was one basic combo and his gameplan was really basic. Chains all day because they were broken and godlike buttons. Cs2, Hazamas difficulty went up a little because of execution, and you had to be more careful with his chains. Oh and overall they just gave Hazama a ton more options at his disposal. Now, this is how he got easier, he became a better character. He did a shit ton of damage off of most confirms, meter gain was dumb, he had more options like stated before which intern makes him better, and sure chains were a little worse but not by much. lol Also, his command grab. Wtf. lol So he was a little harder to get into, but winning became easier. lol

FUCK YOU DORA

lol, w/e, hazama IS a strong character, but the taokaka match up still makes me sad :<

We have like 3 or 4 good Tao's in SoCal, she's gone from unplayed to somewhat popular. Personally I think Hazama is a character that actually has the tools he needs to deal with her, as she's a pretty frustrating opponent regardless of who you play :x

Using flash kick is so much fun against local Tao's. They definitely know how to bait anti-airs though, it's a fun game. I use 214d~d more often than ~b because if they stop their drive and make the read they get a huge punish. I think chains/sporadic movement is a bigger help in this matchup than strong anti-airs but they definitely work if you use them right.

Be thankful for that lol - watch out or a netplayer Tao is gonna come along and body you all

Nah, vs. Tao, movement is really dangerous as she is one of the few characters that is easily able to punish you/beats you in neutral. Your zoning game is the most important tool and optimizing damage if you actually manage to catch her. You know, I never got around to doing those match-up threads. lol Now that I'm finding I kind of hate P4A, I'll probably be playing BB more again.

Yeah once you realize that there's no sense of individuality between one [character] player and the next, the game gets really boring. And if there is a difference then one player is doing something wrong.

Yeah dude, thats what me and Haven were saying. You have to play the way the game tells you to play, otherwise you're going to end up losing. Oh and how much of a nightmare some of the match-ups are for Kanji really push me away from it, too. I went to having one or two bad match-ups... to like seven. Haha Its awful really. I miss my good buttons. QQ

Lich with that high-tier to low-tier culture shock.

"What? I can't do whatever I want and hit all the buttons I want without any forethought and/or consequence? Well then this game obviously sucks fucking dick"

I either do real well vs Kanji or get caught in a bunch of mindgames and lose horribly, despite S.Lab having an advantage against him. Of course, I barely fight many good Kanji's that don't dive at me like it's their only move.

Guymam hit the nail on the head. XD Hazama too broke, too fun. It helps that Hazama is literally my favorite character in all things fiction. On top of me not actually liking any other character in persona than Kanji, but hating grapplers... I don't know man, I just don't like the game at this point. :V Its not just the bad match-ups, its the occasional losing to players I know I am better than. >.< It makes me so mad that I don't have the power to just shit on 'em. I'm gonna keep playing it, but I think I'm going to invest more of my gaming time into BB/GG.

Now that I think about it flying around against Tao tends to get me blown up faster than trying to stay grounded. You should do those matchup threads!

As much as I love Kanji and have fun playing him, I just have to switch to a more viable character. I don't have that tough grappler skin, and I like to be able to move around a lot. Luckily there are a few other characters I like - Yosuke and Akihiko particularly. I'm still digging Persona a lot. Though I finally got a chance to play a bit of BB casuals and it reminded me of how much fun it is, and GG is da best. So I will continue playing all three :v: can't wait for PSN GGAC.

The hell?.. I thought it was about playing by the book until you start getting into the head of your opponent. Then you start finding what you can and can't use and start to break away from standard play then.

For Lich's Problem: If its too hard to enjoy, really just...DON'T PLAY IT.

I don't mean it in an attacking way. Its just forcing yourself to really like something when you don't is called...dumb. Persona can't please everyone.

Though some might deny that up-and-down and all around.
