Edit: Dang, I wish I had a section in the combo thread for impractical combos. Overheat is really a great player, for those who weren't aware of it yet. IMO, he'd be in the top 2 as far as north american Lambdas go. Though I'd need to see more of him offline (gonna rectify this soon <3), as well as for Severin, which would be the other logical pick.

I was thinking of using Lambda's Counter Assault in a combo, just cuz (against Litchi) during 236236D. Just an idea really. You can sorta do it if you have the Legacy on top of the opponent and push them into it, but it really doesn't change much from what I've seen ha. I thought the fewer the hits the better in the circumstance. I would really like to see how that Counter Assault combo would work. Sounds interesting. Yup, Overheat's really good and he helped maximize the other impractical combo I came up with. I'm not that good myself. I just make mess around with combos :P

I think you could honestly maximize Lambda's damage if you could somehow make it so Legacy Edge only hits with 1-8 swords. That would seriously make for some crazy damage if possible. Just some food for thought. I see where you're coming from with this, but the P2 of Legacy Edge is 75 once so I would imagine you'd want to get more hits in rather than less (but it seems like you already figured that out from your last post~) Actually, we will be playing offline in a few weeks. But you're right about the second part, I for one haven't seen any recent videos of either of you two playing, but would love to watch some of you guys' matches if they were around somewhere. Just not sure where they are at the moment. Watching all of this Lambda activity is getting me hyped to want to play on stream again at the next tournament I go to, since the last footage of me playing was just Severin dunking me lol

You can always check out his YT channel for casual matches he uploads, but he, much to my sadness, seldomly does so. As far as I'm concerned, you can check out MTL's non-official stream page at www.twitch.tv/bibiquadium Because I don't live exactly next to Montreal, I can only go once per 1-2-3 weeks, so I'm not always in the streams. I can say, though, that you can watch a few matches of me in the last 2 ranbats.

Well the Legacy thing was an idea based off 5C making combos do more damage with fewer hits. I suppose Legacy doesn't function the same way sadly. At the end of the day, I think FC 214A is the only legit starter.

I suppose Legacy doesn't function the same way sadly. Yeah, if you look at the frame data you'll notice that 5C has a P2 of 98 while Legacy Edge has a P2 of 75(once). The (once) thing is what's key here since it means that after the second hit of Legacy Edge, none of the subsequent hits will have any proration on them; they'll each do just as much damage as the last sword and won't affect the untechable time of the combo either. This isn't the case with 5C which of course you know does less damage after each hit and can make a big difference on whether a combo will work or not.

I've always wondered what that "once" meant. That's good info. Now I know. Making legit impractical combos with Lambda is tough with so many restrictions in place. Though I have an idea for a mega combo. We shall see how that pans out.

Our Lambda mirror match-up thread is bare so I figured we could get something to put in it. It would be the easiest one to fill out since we all know Lambda.
