The POT combo. OHK, J.S, J.HS, SVD, S, HS, SVD, S, HS SVD, 2, S, HS, HSVD this is tough to do by the last rep. =P -Delay everything after the J,S. J.HS -If you're having a tough time to finish the 2P loop. Just don't do it. You sound good with the 6HS, SVD input. Just keep at it. =) Raekwon owns me for FREE. I CAN'T beat him. Seriously. He probably thinks I suck hard at this game. =/, Every tournament I do good at, is a tourney where I don't fight Issac. =( Welcome aboard Oatmeal Cakes.

0.o WTF.. you air dash at POT? if you run in range a 5K/S/FBH Dolphin will all do the same... tough timing though.

I tend to nab back-dashes from Bridget & Robot more often. But, you are correct. IAD, J.S, J.HS, SVD is an amazing tension-less option. Always gets some anger out of my opponent. ;)

I finally got the timing down on the 6HS, now all I have to do is link it in a combo and I'll be str8. The point of impact has the same 6 Frame window as if you didn't hit at all. What I mean is that if May hits somebody and the anchor doesn't touch the ground at all. That window to cancel into to dolph is still there...Correct.

Free- I met your "Rival": he's improved a bit. Plus, I sat down with him about 20 matches. It should be one hell of a rematch. Hope all is well, Kyle SJ, J.RR. FRC, J.K, J.D = funny fuzzy =P

IKRENEGADE from Arizona. =P Those guys still give him loads of shit for your west toast matches. THX JamsLegs :keke:

hey, more overhead opps. Sounds fun. When are you supposed to jump after j.rr FRC and how are you supposed to jump? Like, I can do it to some degree, but I dont know what the fuck I'm looking for. Am I supposed to wait for the animation to end? Am I supposed to do it DURING the FRC? Am I supposed to super jump? Can I just jump? (Because I swear when I just try to jump May refuses to listen)

The key is to SJ. HIGH. There is no additional jump. Just Gatlin into J.D from J.K. Fuzzy- Vi~ola!

Input: 6HS~[3] ..., ..., 8S

Pointer1-

the input for 6HS~[3] is FAST. So fast in-fact, that while I was still learning the input, I often input 3HS. this causing May to whiff 2HS like a loli-tard.

Pointer2-

The actual hit-stop is what gives May the charge time for it to come out.

Pointer3-

6HS special cancels LATE as hell. I seriously do 8S on the frame that the anchor hits the ground! This means the attack has literally passed through the opponent entirely. Most likely a small window exist where this moves special cancel after the active frames as well. So...the very first few frames of recovery actually special cancel.

Oh snap, I just realized I can hyperlink sprites... BRB

As soon as you see May do anything that resembles this do 8S IMMEDIATELY.

:psyduck: were u visiting family or play anyone in cali in guilty gear? oh and where did u and the IKRenegade guy play guilty gear at?

I was visiting family in Brookings, OR. Spent some time in Crescent City CA. That's the farthest north west you can go. Closest GG is 6 hrs to Portland. when I'm farther south in CA, I'll definitely let you know. ;) 3 weeks back, I spent 6 days in Phoenix AZ. I got to play with Nick (IKRENEGADE) and his entire crew. =) Matt- have you worked out Austin yet? It would be a shame to not see that May around...

ok ok. i'm a total noob and i'm really trying to get better but i'm just starting and there is so much to catch up on not to add this is my first fighter....ever.... i mean i've played before but never at this level (aka i'm really trying to get good):MA: so i'm trying to learn combos, links, gatlings (spelling?), mix ups... the whole nine and a lot of times it seems to be a little overwhelming to do at one time....i'm going back over the general stuff (what's found in the guides) so that i have a solid base and i'm trying to build on that. any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. (btw there is nothing too simple to start with i really want a solid base so when i get to the advanced stuff i won't have to worry about going back to the basics because i'll already know them:keke:) i finally have the lame loop down to where i can do it 8/10 in practice and pretty regularly ( i say about 6/10 under pressure (aka during a match whenever i can get a ch crouching hs or ohk). it might seem like nothing to a lot of ya'll but it's a real motivator to me...if i can get that i can do anything w/ enough time and practice.:yaaay:

Oatmeal, try to focus of these 4 things. It will take you FAR with May in GG.

Guarding- Be aware of your opponents mix-ups, and how to block/evade them. Often you can put yourself in a position -better for you than your opponent-. This is CRUCIAL!

Counter Poking- Knowing & applying which moves net you CH against your opponents pokes & approach.

Combo's- From your CH's especially. Get good damage (at least a 33% =P) and a KNOCKDOWN!

Okizeme- From their wake-up get them with an Overhead/ Low/ Throw/ Tick Throw/ Frame-Trap/ or Bait their reversals to punish.

If you managed to do all 4 in one match. You've just won. lol

It sounds like you've really been keeping up with it. good job. =)

Thanks kyle i've been trying really hard and i am seeing improvement... my guarding is actually pretty good according to raekwon and solidplay.... and my combos are coming along... i ohk into the first loop (js jhs svd) on isaac :yaaay: i felt really good about that and i've been doing lame loop off of svd, ch crouching hs, and ohk all night.... i think i really need to continue improving on those and start to focus on my okizime (spelling?) and poking. on knockdown i do pretty much the same thing j 2hs or 5k into some link or gaitling and knockdown or ohk if i get the timing right....(yea i suck)....so i'll just have to watch more match vids specifically for that and get a better idea of what to do... (your guide is helpful but i'm a visual learner)
