Sorry if this is is the wrong place, but why is Justice Banned in Tournaments. is it because she is fast? or because her specials cover the entire screen/do alot of damage? or because her hits in general do alot of damage etc. I get why she would be banned same with Kliff but why exactly is she and Kliff banned?

First of all, those charachter are not present in the arcade version of the game. They were inserted in GGAC+ just as extra

Second, is all you said. She have riducoulos super that covers the entire screen and have tons of stupid invincibility, damage etc.

She perform insane damage even without bar, her normals have high priority, covers enormous portion of space and comes out very fast. She also have ridicoulos mobility, 3 dash and 3 jump? Come on

Pull all of this togheter and you have an almost invincible charachter. But it was never designed to be balanced, it's the opposite :p

Too bad, a playable and balanced version of Justice would be pretty cool

Kliff

-Has a high-damage, high-priority drill special move

-Has an air version of said move that Ragna stole to create Belial Edge

-6H causes stun in 2 hits and deals a shitload of damage

-All of his sword normals do a shitload of damage

-All of his other specials and supers do a shitload of damage

Justice

-All of her moves deal fucktons of damage and have god priority

-Can pull off ridiculous combos that practically last forever and can potentially OHKO you

-Imperial Ray is both the most retarded and the best reversal in the game

-Gamma Ray stuns you if you're close and depending on the character it might as well be an instant kill

-Her own instant kill is easy as balls to combo into

-Has stupidly easy mindgame potential and mixup

This all makes me lol because of Arcade Logic.

Guilty Gear was originally a console-only game and only became Arcade (and by extention Tournament) viable when Guilty Gear X hit the arcade scene. And even then, Justice and Kliff weren't around till GGX+ in their prototype forms (which are terrible by the way, their matchups were ridiculously poor compared to the others, they weren't even overpowered). It wasn't until XX that Justice and Kliff got a facelift and move revisions, but even then, Kliff's 6P has always been stupid (even compared to Eddie's 6P), and Justice had a huge hitbox no matter how fast she could move even if her air attacks could practically loop into themselves due to her jump options.

Also what Vulcan422 said, but I have yet to see good Justice or Kliff players compete even semi-seriously.

If I'm not mistaken, Imperial Ray has invincibility frames on start up, but not so after the initial spark ( meaning a meaty poke will interrupt it )

However, treating it like Dark Angel, it's pretty deadly.

Gamma Ray can never kill anyone in game with full HP, even Chipp, unless his Guard Gauge is moderately high.

Lolwut? If you mean Gamma Ray, again, you can't OHKO with it and you certainly can't in a combo.

If you mean her Destroyed, then flash news buddy. You can't combo any Destroy moves in GG :(

IMHO, her most deadly asset is her ability to drag you into a corner easily with huge combos. Her IAD corner loops are deadly and can easily be ended with knockdown > mixup.

Her mix-ups are really safe and easy to do. Her projectiles provide good cover for the screen and can eat up any other projectile in game without the projectile ( Justice's ) being destroyed or traded.

Seku, he means you can Faint someone with Justice EASILY. Many of her moves cause huge stun...Faint = dizzy = instant kill.

Same as when A.B.A. has her "Duh what happened!?" pose when falling out of Moroha. Instant Kill there too.

When I wanna troll I spend time 5 mins unlocking Kliff and Justice and let the PS run all day while people play while I go about my day.

Blade, oooohh I see.

If I'm not mistaken ( I played for 3~4 months using her, just for fun ) it's not THAT common to stun/dizzy with her.

But her IK activation and the IK's start up themselves are pretty fast.

Justice is not used 'cause she is BROKEN on ALL levels. She was never even meant to be balanced, since was an extra for console version.

And yes, GG is an arcade game since GGX. You can not like it, but that's the truth, live with it :/

Justice's counterhit cl.S does the most stun IIRC, not to mention she can do BlueBeat combos easily with Michael Sword loops in the corner. (H Michael Sword H Michael Sword etc)

She's also the easiest character to beat Survival Mode with. Michael Sword and Michael Blade beat out almost everything. Michael Blade combos into itself and causes huge stun besides. :toot:

Even if Justice and Kliff weren't any good, they were added into a console-exclusive port without extensive balancing or playtesting. For all intents and purposes, they're not even in Accent Core. With the majority of tournaments still going on today being run on arcade or on an original Accent Core disc, they wouldn't even be available to play if they were legal.

Basically it doesn't matter how broken they are because they're not even in the game at 90% of events.

You did read the "Done with Hori command stick" at the start right? Adding to that, given a full bar of tension, almost any character in the game can do more damage on justice than justice did in this combo vid...

All the same though, I kinda wish Kliff and Justice were allowed in SOME tournaments, just to get a feel for them...especially versus Faust Slayer or Eddie.

Seriously though, could Justice actually loop Slayer or Eddie in a live match? Could she actually do that?

In regard to the storyline, aren't Kliff and Justice dead anyway? I guess it's kind of a Geese/Rugal situation in that Kliff and Justice are there for the fans who missed them from the first Guilty Gear.

Yes.

The simple and most correct answer to this thread should of been.

"Justice and Kliff are not in the acrade version of the game, that's why their banned."

everything else does not matter.

Also they're only in one of the two console versions, the other of which is more common at tournaments. Even if you mained them, there's no guarantee they'd even be available for you to use. It's just easier this way.
