Still don't know if i can make it there. By car its 17 mins, Walking is still 1 hour 30 mins, That's a journey...

The bus routes looks like my best option but it all depends if my family wants to drive me to this bus stop and pick me up after a few hours (Which i dont think they wanna run in and out of the house twice)

Wish i had a car.

Maybe its none of my business but, you have an amazing opportunity to meet ,greet and play with people in your scene. If you gotta walk an hour to get there and an hour to get back, the experience is still worth it. Dont miss out just because you dont feel like walking.

Dude, I don't have a car and I somehow am able to make it to these events via public transportation or talking to someone in the Chicago FGC Facebook group. That's why the group is there, for guys like us who don't have reliable transportation to find ways to go. You can get to any of the inner-city venues via public transportation (Ignite and EXP Gaming are accessible via public transportation).

No blak, you're absolutely right. Everyone in the Chicago FGC are really cool people and all want to have fun playing fighters and if you're into fighters, you should find a way to get out there so you can meet and greet with others.

Trust me when I say this seventy; once you go to one of the events, you will always want to come back. Ask anyone who's been, you just gotta find your way out to one. I'm not pressing you to go to every single event because people's schedules and financial situations won't allow it but at least hit up one up. Save your money for the bus via round trip and go, that's what I do, or talk to someone in the Facebook Group that can give you a ride, of course, Gas Money is needed but it's not going to be too much.

Bro, you gotta come to one of these events and enjoy yourself, you have no idea on how much you're really missing out on.

Hell, even I went to one. I never went back. However, that is due to it being hilariously impractical. If you at least live within a reasonable distance, there's little to no excuse. You guys should be thanking the FG gods that you have others to play with. I do not and my ambition, motivation, and skill are waning greatly.

I do hope to make an appearance for the May tournaments though.

I encourage everyone to go to an event when possible, or save up for UFGT9 on May 24-26, if the weekly's don't fit your schedule. UFGT is months away so there's time to prepare. UFGT is going to be fun especially for the BlazBlue/Persona players. After the tournaments are over, we all pile up in people's cars and head out to the nearest Giordano's and pitch in a few dollars (Maybe 10-12 bucks per person IIRC) for some Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza.

We do this every big event ever since we got the Michigan guys to start coming down for them; Fright Fight and Frosty Faustings were the last two big events we had with them and we got pizza every time and enjoyed ourselves. We're going to have a good time at UFGT as well and want the rest of you guys to hang with us, we probably won't do the Pizza thing until Sunday after all the chaos of UFGT is over but, it's going to happen before everyone goes their separate ways.

We don't only play games, we hang out and socialize with each other and have fun. That's why I encourage you guys to come out to these events so you can meet some really cool people and enjoy yourselves.

BTW, UFGT9 is open for Registration! Register now while the Early Bird deal is available! - Click Here to Begin Registration!

I don't think pazzo is having an event on friday. Anyone want to get some P4A matches before the tournament Saturday? I've been practicing a few new combos for Teddie.

I've got something important to do on Friday so I won't be hitting up GamePazzo. I will be at Ignite this Saturday for the Re-Ignition tournament.

Cool. Apparently, there are other Illinois players who are planning to attend that usually don't hit up GamePazzo so it will be interesting to see how things shape up at Ignite this weekend. Sadly, Doug won't be able to go due to work.

For those that do not know the schedule, games start times are as follows:

1:30 PM - SF4, KoF, and GG

5:00 - MvC3, TTT2, SFxT and P4A

6:00 - SG

Bomberman starts as soon as MvC3 ends.

Good Games to everyone that showed up at Ignite for the Reignition Tournament!

Shoutouts to Grant for his first tournament win at Ignite, you deserved it bro! I was happy to see everyone has improved their game and that's what we're all about; improvising ourselves and making it fun!

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed yourself. It was great to meet you and it was fun to play some BlazBlue again (It's been awhile for me LOL!). Hope to see you at other events whenever you have the chance/time to come out, and as I tell everyone, you can look at the first post of this thread to find out any current information for our gatherings.

I've decided to do something else cool with the front page as well; for each tournament we have, I'll post the Top 3 of those events and the top 3 of those events will have a tournament_medal.png by their name listed with the results. It's something I thought that would be cool to add to the first post along with all the current information there.

Everyone knows that the next big event ATM is UFGT9 and that's all the way in May, but if something else comes up before that, I'll post up the information here. So make sure you guys keep your eyes open for updates.

That was a lot of fun! My first time at that great venue. I was the Anji in GG and Yukiko in P4A. I did pretty well in GG but not so well in P4A, definitely showed me how little experience I have in that game. Shoutouts to everyone, GGs.

I'm the spikey haired scrub that was bumming around watching Persona instead of playing in a tournament. Fun stuff and I'm starting to learn enough to start entering some local tournaments. I'll be around - if you're new you should body me in some casuals to help me out. :D I'm in the Chicago area so heading out to Ignite isn't an issue at all (if Persona is even alive there on Mondays) and I'm at Pazzo pretty much every Friday at this point.

Fun shit, stay classy.

@Woocash It was cool seeing you again Woocash! Glad you could make it out and to hear you enjoyed Ignite, they've become quite the venue now! If you want to level up in P4A, you can learn from everyone at the venue, I just wish Chosenninja was there, he plays Yukiko too and is probably one of the best with her that I've seen/played against.

@Codename Elia: I'm glad to hear you enjoyed yourself as well, hope to see you soon at another gathering, whether it's Ignite or GamePazzo. We do have a few people learning the game so no worries, we have people of all variety of skill levels that you can play with to learn the game and help your game improve as well.

In the end, the overall word seems to be that you guys enjoyed yourselves so, I guess that's a "Mission Accomplished" for Ignite and their staff right?

Also, I'm still updating the player's roster, for those that are interested in sharing information, post up your information in the following manner:

I made the change on the front page, thanks Nives! Glad to see more people becoming more active here in the thread!

Also, for those that are interested, There are a few of us that play Guilty Gear and Persona Casuals at DePaul campus on Thursday's around 5PM. The building is on Jackson and Walbash and the room is on the 5th floor to your right as you get off the elevator, you can't miss it. You don't have to be a student to enter, you just need a valid ID to hand over and you can play. No cost, just bring your stick/pad and play with the others, they play on 360 there as a heads up.

I can't make Mondays at Ignite for the rest of the quarter because my 8AM classes on Tuesday conflict with that but next quarter, that won't be a problem. You guys at Ignite will see me more often after that.

I will see if I can take a train out there or something. Since Final Round is out of my current budget I'll see what I can do. I'll keep you updated Circ.

Excellent, excellent! There are some cheap hotels nearby, so if you guys wanna come in force and head out the next morning that'd work, too.

I'm going to be at pazzo on Friday and I'd like to do some more persona on Saturday night if anyone is interested in finally meeting up at EXP gaming. Take the blue line to the oak park avenue stop on the blue line and I could pick you guys up and drive us there.
