Aginor Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Discuss the Bang match up here. What to look out for: - j.B - Guard Points - quick get up 5A - 5B - Nails - Ashura What to do: - Zone him by using Habaya if you can. - Rush him down if he doesn't have meter once you land a hit on him. Cryingvoid Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 lol, core got drunk to a core to the extend of flooding his own forums lol ) btw, I know a very decent Bang who'll be banging you till morning w/o smoke breaks :O And I don't know this matchup well... most times he gets me killed before his nails run out. Habaya helps sometimes. Maybe the safest way is to receive his nails on block in jump, to be able to recover not in a blockstring -___-"
Aginor Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 I actually don't really like this match up much either. 6A is your go to AA for this. The biggest problem I find with this is Bang's nails. If you can somehow make him use up all of them and he doesn't have 4 seals, it will be hard for him to ever get in. D nails being the hardest to deal with. When you zone, try to get out habaya. Being able to get this out safely requires quite a bit of distance but if you are able to, you can suck up any nails bang throws out and habaya will still be in play. I also think it's hard to play against bang with 4 seals so if he does a 4 seal combo, I think it's wise to burst that combo. Lastly, when you're on the offensive, watch out for guard points but this is more of mixing up your blockstrings and incorporating late chains to hit him out of them.
C0R Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 For those that don't know. If you're in a position where you would normally block ashura, but are uncomfortable performing the IB > 5b punish. You can Dp during the superflash, forcing a clash with ashura. At this point the flames of ashura will cover Mu, and the hitstop makes the clash very difficult to site-read, allowing an easy 5b CH > 6b punish combo until they learn how to deal with it. Bang's only option that will beat clash cancel into 5b is 5a.
pochp Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Any advice on dealing with D-Nails after I green burst? I feel like bursting just lets him get back in, especially in the corner. I know that I can sometimes DP or 2a after blocked nails depending on the spacing, but let's just say the risk reward for that is kinda bad when your back is to the corner.
cookiehours Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I kno' date=' but I won't tell ( ' 3')[/quote'] Bad StayFree, bad. ; - ; Ii also have trouble with this match, unless the Bang is really, really bad,
