Starkaiser Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Actually no need to be just Blazblue, but I wanna know what is the best PS3 recorder currently? The old one I m using have HDMI output, but only have input as "AV cable". So it is kidda disappointed in quality. I' m wondering if the new recorder are much better now and worth purchasing or not. (was hoping for HDMI input recorder, but it seem impossible with the copy right issue?)
Lucien Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Hauppauge HD PVR seems to be one of the best out, quality-wise.

(was hoping for HDMI input recorder, but it seem impossible with the copy right issue?) Check out AVerMedia or BlackMagic products. They are the best in the business. AVerMedia can put out the same quality as BlackMagic but at a cheaper price. If you are trying to record off hdmi you'll have to convert it over to component first which will require a HDfury to do. Hauppauge HD PVR seems to be one of the best out, quality-wise. You sir never post again about recorders. Since you obviously don't know shit.
Amadeus46Art Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Any reason why Hauppauge HD PVR isn't that good, Kurushii?
Kurushii Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Any reason why Hauppauge HD PVR isn't that good, Kurushii? It's old technology. Horrible over compression on videos. No HDMI input. Has screen alignment issues. Prone to overheat. Overpriced compared to AVerMedia products that do the same thing but better quality and cheaper.
Lucien Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Damn Kurushii, calm the fuck down. Niggas be butthurt over everything nowadays.
Kurushii Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) I think it's cute people think im angry or worked up when I post sometimes. Anyone that knows me is that I speak very blunty at times on subjects that are pet peeves of mines. I can't stand people misinforming others on recording/streaming equipment when I have spent thousands over the years trying out equipment and helping people. =3 @sev <3 @Starkaiser Post your computer specs, laptop or desktop, and what type of tv/monitor you use. I can narrow down for you what I recommend if you are lost looking at all the different models. Hit me up in PM about it all if you like. Edited February 25, 2012 by Kurushii
Gramas Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 In order to get the best quality you need an Internal PCI card and a high end PC otherwise avermedia darkcrystal station its good and does'nt stress your cpu so you dont need an high end PC but you need a hd fury 2 to convert into component because if you buy an usual hdmi->component converter you will get a little cut in the video like mine(stupid me) dont buy hd pvr because darkcrystal station its a little cheaper and better.
Starkaiser Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 my PS3 usually run in Samsung LED TV series 6. well, I have got no PC near by the room, but I could use my laptop to transfer the files. From what I read here, PS3 will need to plug into HDfury first and then plug into other kind of recorder (AVerMeddia or BlackMagic products) ? No any recorder that could do all the job?
Kurushii Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 PS3 through HDMI has HDCP encryption. Some internal cards will display the video but won't record it (you could FRAPS the display on a PC to cheat it). If you use component you won't have to worry about HDCP. AVerMedia makes a portable recorder that only requires a pc to transfer the files later. You just plug in Component and it records onto the harddrive you put inside it. http://www.avermedia-usa.com//AVerTV/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=498
