Tao's mix-up isn't really scary. She has nice left right stuff, but I mean when you lose to Tao you're just dying in Neutral more so than getting mixed-up. Honestly when I play Hazama I feel most comfortable when Tao is pressuring me because if I can call something out I get damage instead of getting hit all day in neutral.

What do you call out with. Flash kick? jab into houtenjin? houtenjin?

i noticed while playing your tager that your blocking was so perfected that my only option was to stop pressure and empty jump 2b

@Lich yeah, i don't get many tao matchups so her mix up was mind blowing to me, especially since it limited my jump outs..

Normally anti-airs or 2A, but I only like that position when I'm blocking with meter. lol In which case I'm normally IBing everything so I get it pretty fast. So if you think about it this way all with meter, 2C goes into 6k midscreen, 5A can go into 5K midscreen, 2A can go into 4K, Gashou can go into 5K midscreen, and I've even called out her overhead before with 5C which is like death. I never try to mash out with Houtenjin really because it's super, super risky. You need that meter for the damage so if they call it out you're kinda fucked. Tao only has 9.5k health and often if she's pressuring you, you're in the corner and damage only goes up with Hazama's back to the corner. Either way the match-up is really hard for Hazama.

I didn't figure you would use houtenjin for those reasons. I wondered because I find trying to mash anti-airs against tao very fruitless. Which leaves 5a/2a (for me).
