Vyers Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 It actually isn't, and there are 2 tiers, Mid and Mid-high Really? Well the combos in that video were mostly 100% damage. Even if every character is equally capable of doing so, it's pretty depressing to lose a round, because you got struck once.

Skullgirls technically has 100% combos and it's fine. This is considered to be the fore-father to many fighting game mechanics (Thrust-blocking/parrying, deflects, weapon breaks, loss of clothing and hair from strikes, takedowns/otgs, and a new way to perform fatalities in Death Combos (comboing the head after death for example))

Vyers Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Well, there's a big difference between situational infinites/100% damage combos filled with one-frame-links that you rarely ever see, and the commonplace infinites found in high-level MVC2 and Sengoku Basara Cross. I admit I didn't look at the video very closely. I didn't notice the second life bar underneath the skulls, so I assumed that most of the combos were 100% when in reality the majority did around 60%.

Lady fortune still doesn't favor me when it comes to trying to play that game with people. Also, shawarma is delicious. We should totally find a place that sells it.
