Circuitous Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 If I see another bullshit comment like this, I am going to blow up the world. Right there with you.
FunkyP Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 According to the wiki, Yu's and Akihiko's first hit of DP are AUB.
Circuitous Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 We're not really at a point where the info on the wiki is reliable yet, so I wouldn't put too much faith in that. It'd be great if someone could test and confirm it, though. Actually that "test and confirm" bit holds true for basically everything in these forums, too.
Krusiv Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 If someone tests it be sure to jump into it instead of trying to jump away from it. You can't block immediately after jumping so that could skew the results.
Tong Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 AoA? I thought we were talking about B+D (DPs)? @AchedSphinx - I hope you're right, having to be forced into not jump canceling during pressure in fear of getting AUB DP'd would suck major balls. The awesome thing about jump canceling in these types of games is that it serves as both a DP bait and to reset pressure. Nvm that, meant AoN/All or Nothing lol And well, it might still be useful against someone who jump cancels a move on block to not risk 2B being stuffed But yeah, 2B is safer on most situations.
mundus Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 lol this means kanji is free to wakeup jump ins Well considering he has an anti air throw, not really.
Soriphen Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Does Kanji's AA throw come out fast enough to punish a wake-up jump in? A good wake-up jump in too, like Yu's oki jump ins after the trip to that Persona move.
VR-Raiden Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 According to the wiki, Yu's and Akihiko's first hit of DP are AUB. I know for a fact this is true for Yu. First hit is AUB, second is not. I had links to videos which confirmed this, but lost them when everything got deleted.
Kurushii Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Versus Music Track Listing: Reach Out to the Truth (P4 Arena ver.) Soriphen Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 So, 4 extra songs aside from the arcade listing, eh? Looks good! Hope they sound hype.
Raging Ghost Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Guys, does this game have the Custom OST function in the PS3 version?
Kurushii Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Guys, does this game have the Custom OST function in the PS3 version? Nope
Starlight777 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 So in that Shadow Labrys combo vid, I saw a color that wasn't any of the other 17.
Raging Ghost Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 So in that Shadow Labrys combo vid, I saw a color that wasn't any of the other 17. Yeah, speaking of her, did we even saw her Sol Badguy palette?
A.X.I.S. Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Does Kanji's AA throw come out fast enough to punish a wake-up jump in? A good wake-up jump in too, like Yu's oki jump ins after the trip to that Persona move. No it is not. It's good for jump outs not for jump in's on wake up.
Circuitous Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 So in that Shadow Labrys combo vid, I saw a color that wasn't any of the other 17. The fucked up pink one? Yeah, that's... different.
Starlight777 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 The fucked up pink one? Yeah, that's... different. Yeah that's the one! That and the purple and gold Asterios. It looked weird.
Soriphen Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 No it is not. It's good for jump outs not for jump in's on wake up. Thanks for clarifying. So, Kanji can't really do much on wake-up. Man, I never knew Akihiko's R-action is AUB on first hit!
Veteru Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I can verify the first hit of Narukami's B+D (Big Gamble) is air unblockable. Tested it at EVO, it's pretty great once they use up their air mobility option. The damage payout is much less than 2B, but you avoid the risk of getting fatal countered by the opponent's "anti-antiair" (Many characters in this game have one... think Akihiko JC).
Tong Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Maybe Mitsuru and Labrys' j.B are anti-antiair too... they definitely have lots of priority to hit past head invul.
shtkn Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 i don't think you understand what "head invul" means. it's an attribute, not hitboxes. http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Attack_Attributes_(P4Arena) read the strike attribute invincibility section
Tong Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Ah yeah, kinda forgot how it worked... in that case, some jumpins might have body atributte.
A.X.I.S. Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Thanks for clarifying. So, Kanji can't really do much on wake-up. Man, I never knew Akihiko's R-action is AUB on first hit! He can B+D out since it's frame 1, he can wake up super (lol scrubby?) if he has the meter etc etc. No different than other characters I guess.
