Moy_X7 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) First of all, lets make sure I got this right. Fuzzy Guard Setups work in a way that they use an attack with a lot of hit-stun to force the opponent on a standing state long enough for you to use an air attack that would otherwise miss against a crouching opponent. A simple example could be Jin doing j.2C > j.C. If blocked high, j.2C forces the opponent on a standing state, long enough to hit the opponent with j.C if the opponent were to try to block low. j.C whiffs on crouching opponents but the opponent is still stuck on a standing position due to j.2C's hit-stun and therefore gets hit by j.C when trying to block low. So the common way to use Fuzzy Guards is to get the opponent to block high with an air attack, an overhead, or a move that forces standing. Use this thread to post all of the Fuzzy Guard setups you might know and I'll update the thread as necessary. Gotta get the community educated (myself included) Universal j.B > j.A (if your character has that gatling route) j.X > RC > j.XJinj.2C > j.C or j.B > j.C/j.2CDeep Fall j.2C > JC > j.2CMuDeep Fall j.B > [JC > j.B] or [(Land) > Rising j.B]6B (1 or 2 Hits) > RC > Rising j.Bj.A > j.B or j.B > Delayed j.A (Tager Only) Platinumj.B > j.C. j.B/j.C > j.2CTK Swallow > j.B > [JC > j.B] or [(Land) > Rising j.B] Deep Fall j.C > [JC > j.B] or [(Land) > Rising j.B]6B RC > Rising j.B Ragna [*]6D > j.D > JC > j.A/j.C [*]Deep Fall j.C > JC > j.A/j.C *Only use j.A against characters with tall hit-boxes Tsubaki [*]j.C > Delayed j.CC [*]j.236D > j.214D > Rising j.A/j.C Valkenhayn [*]Standing [w]5A into instant [w]j.A It's a fuzzy guard which is done by inputting 5CC(dash) > j.A quickly. The way the fuzzy is works is that you dash cancelling the 5C, and immediately cancel the 5CC with j.A. If done correctly, he'll just flip right into the j.A, and if not, either nothing will come out, or you may do [w]5A instead. The timing is really strict however and requires practice for consistency. Edited June 10, 2012 by Moy_X7
Moy_X7 Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 As troll as that might sound, I'm pretty sure that shit's legit XD
C0R Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Mu IAD j.b > j.a deep j.b JC j.b deep j.b \/ rising j.b 6b (1 or 2) RC rising j.b
Zeromus_X Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) I think Ragna has other fuzzy setups with jC and jD too. Mu: (airdash) jB > jA rebeat jB > RC > jB j9A > jB or j9B > delay jA (Tager only) Tsubaki: (airdash) jC > delay jCC jC > RC > (airdash) jC > jCC j236D -> j214D > rising jA/jC Litchi: (airdash) jB > jA rising jB[m] > RC > jB[m] (don't need RC on taller chars?) Valkenhayn: Rising jC > RC jC Any char with a jB > jA chain could qualify really. Edited June 10, 2012 by Zeromus_X
Moy_X7 Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 I guess I could have j.B > j.A and j.X > RC > j.X as universal fuzzies. As for Valkenhayn, isn't that more of an instant overhead than a fuzzy? You can get hit by it without the need of a fuzzy guard setup. I'll add the rest though.
KayEff Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 the only practical fuzzies for ragna are: 6D > j.D > jc j.A/j.C falling j.C (from GH RC is best) > jc j.A/j.C j.C works on most characters, but j.A only works on characters with tall hitboxes, such as tager, hakumen, jin, litchi, ragna, rachel (i think), hazama, and other people i can't seem to think of off the top of my head.
Moy_X7 Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 I'll test these down the road as I'm pretty sure that some of these are character specific, like KayEff said.
