first time ive seen someone reach 30+ wins in one of my room. Must mean I was enjoying those liz mirrors. Clearly im experiencing insanity right now.

Also learned more about liz again, which is always good. Need to level up to second round exit at TSB, instead of what I'm sure will be a first round exit

Shoutouts to BlackStar for stepping it up! I've only been playing you for a few days and the progress I've seen from you is by far more than impressive. I even had to resort to playing the "Mass Destruction" theme multiple times to win but it failed me in our last game (Don't ask me why but I feel stronger when this theme song is played). Big ups to you man! For real!

Lesson of the day: Raging Lion is unblock-able online.

You're no scrub, I've seen you play in that GF vs DL set, you were on point. Whenever I play you, my mission is to make sure you don't get started because if you do... it is a horrible day on my end. I have to fight ChosenNinja (The insane Yukiko player that got in top 32 @ NEC) on a weekly basis and this is what I have to do to make sure a Yukiko player in general doesn't get started because once she does... It's a bad day for sure.

There's two ways to fix getting hit by overheads:

1) Get used to seeing what they look like and block them

2) Standing block and react to blocking low's instead of overheads.

There's probably other ways to deal with it but these are some options you could try out.

Yeah, I definitely go with #1. Though in some matchups a fast low doesn't always convert to a lot of damage, but in general block low react high feels more natural. Just need to play more against people that will abuse my weakness so I'll freshen up.

That neutral j.A, falling j.B thing you were doing was really cool. Like a fish lure. ;p

You were blocking pretty good for a while, then I decided to take a new route with my mixup game. I think you know how to tame my approach really well. A lot of those raw rolls won some matches (lol, fuck that shit), but I don't think it's good long term. Last round is pretty hard for me too, so it's crazy both ways. I think we both block too much, but I'm not doing it to bait dps like you do. I'm doing it because I can't really press many buttons close range since my 5a has no range. At some distances pressing a button is kinda useless, which is why I 2b all day. A lot of people think jump in, block 2b is a free way to get in on Aigis, but that isn't completely true. She can cancel the 2b into stuff like 5b and force you to block stuff; though it all depends on how high up the opponent is.

Labrys is one of those characters that is really weird for Aigis. The match is obviously in her favor, but the range, j.b, 2b, and the damage makes it awkward. I can't stop j.b unless I call it early (kinda like how you were rolling my 2b early). 2b covers too much space and even hits behind her, making it harder to bait properly.....and the damage potential comebacks makes me use my bursts in situations I don't normally do it (usually better players make me burst when I don't want to anyways). I normally save my burst for whenever I'm low on Orgia and almost no other time.

I learned two new tech setups playing you and also that it is pointless to try and airgrab that character, shit just not worth it. I also think I have a new idea for delay techs, not that I have a real problem with those anyways. I think you are playing the match up properly. Look forward to having less trouble against Aigis I guess.

I block so much cuz i dont know the frame data and openings on the characters in general outside of basic stuff.

I have to change my strategy in order to beat you and higher level players.

I cant rely on my burst combos as much as i use to.

I dont have trouble with aigis its more just you.

its a few other ppl that can blow me up too.

Combination of lack higher level match-up knowledge and just the player being better is my issue

Do i really have to block all that orgia stuff for 15 secs straight?

Anytime there isn't a 5b before the the dash j.b in an orgia string you can dp it. Or you can instant block the 5b and dp it. Basically look to dp Aigis players after sweep. Problem is, Labrys and Shabrys can't really do that if the Aigis player knows the secret tech :P

Your dp is bad, but it is good for certain reasons. It is easier to safe jump characters that don't have Labrys/Shabrys dp because you just safejump it and that's it. There is a little extra required for those two, but I learned what that little extra was after playing BananaKen. He got away with too much. This stuff actually also applies to Yukiko. Basically any character with "super armor reversals". I say that it is more annoying because I couldn't autopilot the mixup anymore. But the keyword there is couldn't, I can now.

I think the Aigis player is winning if he/she has you still blocking even after switching out of orgia. It's supposed to be "your turn", but you end up not getting the chance. Longer combos, safe jumps, unfly safe jumps, and throws will go a long way. I don't think I really zone with bullets (do I lol), but I am zoning with j.c instead. Some characters can destroy j.c (Shabrys/Labrys/Teddie(he shits on it)/Mitsuru), so it makes it a little harder for me. Aigis does have her weaknesses, but it's really not that big a deal unless it's against some characters who just straight up ignore a part of her game like Teddie, Shabrys, and Yosuke do. I'm still looking for ways to deal with those guys.

It isn't really secret, I shared it with another guy last night after training moding, but yes. I use j.b to j.a. It lets me see the dps better and slows down my auto pilot. It helps because it is multiple hits and will slow down the "hit".

Yes. I can actually play ranked on ps3 lol. My connection also seems to be straightening up, we got 3 bar towards the end of the set.
