I think A Lotus won't do much for us still. I don't think it'll be worth using to adjust any height I'm sure, even for 4B hits as they are in this loketest. A lotus tends to cause problems than give any benefits I believe xD

Yeah I haven't seen any info on lotus at all. but you know, without wind to use with lotus, lotus is rather unattractive.

4b nerf is also pretty large, in most scenarios all you can do is immediate 5cc after (no time to dash etc).

As Rachel stands in the loketest, she is severely crippled. I hope they change some of this before release.

Note that if you hit 4b too high in CP it can be difficult to hit 5c because they tech very high in the air.

 

he separately noted that 4b's untech time seems just as long, unchanged?

 

overall, combos you can do should be simpler. low hit 4b> 5cc will be possible as a result of the gatling.

All told, it is really bad. Lots of other chars got hurt a lot too. But Rachel has close to even matchups (some good, some bad) with very standard characters.  e.g. izayoi is 6-4 izayoi favor in CP, that's going to be terrible in CP2 the way things are going. most of the standard chars are relatively well off.

me too. its most definitely in rach favor even if she gets stars she doesnt have much in the way of dealing with pumpkin or stopping it from coming out, for one thing.

N-O. he picked up Izayoi some a while ago and trashed the other rachel's over there. he considers it a disadvantageous matchup, with Jin being slightly advantageous for Rachel. Saying 6-4 was a bit of trolling though.

Nah. He did rank the matchups in order of difficulty in 1 tweet some time back. (separate from actual matchup numbers, or favorable or unfavorable.)

 

I don't agree with all of it, just when it suits me.

ok guys, so cp 2.0 is like 2 days away apparently right.

 

and we have some more info on the characters. a particularly interesting one for rachel is that she can jump cancel her normals in overdrive. scary, right? assuming it's true and stays it means more 50/50's (2b and 3c into ja/b) and more meterless damage (and loops; can't wait for 6a/5c jc 2d xn). 

 

lotus bats explode! well, more like they still behave like poles for 214c. not sure how useful tbh. plus beelze lotus is still bad. maybe beelze lotus explosion can be level 5 or something.

 

 

lobelias get another hitbox after hitting a wall. this might have to be seen before anything is said on it.

not exactly sure what you mean, but IOH is still in, and theoretically, we should be able to do it from any of her normals while in OD. there may be some exceptiones, I doubt 2c would be jump cancel, but if so, wow.

lol 2C > IOH, I think I couldn't keep my combo together without laughing if that were to happen.

Yeah, I meant in general without being in OD, like 5B > IOH.

Also, I've always wanted to Sword Iris those bats and felt it was meant to be, I'm glad that's been added.

N-O's final Rachel matchup numbers vs the whole cast. Kinda weird so here's how it works:

 

If a character plays a FT2 vs Rachel 10 times,

 

6.00 -> wins 1 set (Rachel wins 9)

5.75 -> wins 2 sets

5.50 -> wins 3 sets

5.25 -> wins 4 sets

5.00 -> wins 5 sets

4.75 -> wins 6 sets

4.50 -> wins 7 sets

 

Still has no idea how to approach this matchup: Hazama

Hasn't actually thought about it too much: Tsubaki, Amane, Mu

 

4.50 Kokonoe (7 sets look like a bit too much to me...)

4.75 Litchi, Tsubaki, Bang, Noel

5.00 Ragna, Platinum, Hazama, V-13, Carl, Terumi

5.25 Jin, Relius, Izayoi、Hakumen, μ-12, Valkenhayn

5.50 Azrael, Amane, Taokaka

5.75 Tager, Kagura, Makoto, Arakune

I'm pretty surprised N-O thinks the Kokonoe matchup is that bad for rachel.  I personally think otherwise, but N-O is a way better player than me and faces way better Kokonoe's than I could dream of so he definitely has his valid reasons for it.

Koko is still one of her worst matchups of not for the simple fact that she can compete with rachel in neutral and can even zone her at points, has an easier time escaping pressure than other characters especially with 50 heat, and can outpoke among other small tidbits. Like rachel, there isn't a space that koko cannot get to. She can kill George easily and can invalidate pumpkin fairly quickly. Can ride momentum to victory once she catches rachel. Still has blackhole, etc etc. it's still tons better than cp1 but still a bit difficult. I think, like N-O apparently, that the difficulty of the matchup is a little more difficult than litchi, who has very similar strengths when fighting rachel.

And definitely agree with hazama. This matchup is impossible to understand, it really is. Those chains... There are way too many variables. I guess N-O put him in a lower category because his nerfs really show in this version. Still, a ridiculously frustrating matchup.

I guess he thinks bullet is Rachel's best matchup...?

Lol not thinking about amane, I'd rank this one of her easiest.

Were those numbers for his 2.0 experience, or is it from the current revision?
