jimmy Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 yo I know peeps were looking to hold some sort of bbcp chode wrangle the saturday after the game drops, but I hear tell there is a TSBTFU happening that day at next level... it's been a while (i.e. aquapazza release) since we had a full-on philly caravan to next level and I think it would be a lot of fun, the last one was pretty rad minus the $1800 freshly-killed sea bass and picturegate, and since a new game is dropping basically two days before it sounds like a good excuse to me to round up some heads for a trip if we packed a car with five people travel costs would be super light, I think it's an idea definitely worth a ponder :TA:

I've played less than 0 minutes of competitive BB in my life. I am absolutely not ready to actually put money down. I would be interested in this idea a bit further down the road though, but not when the game is two days old. Launch tournaments blow.

jimmy Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 it's also worth noting that bbcp is a ONE DOLLAR tournament at TSB (yeah I know about NL entry fee but w/e) having gone to multiple tsb's there you will have plenty of people to play casuals with and plenty of time to do so and from a slightly more diverse player pool than you normally see at GJ just sayin' :TA:

A larger player base isn't gonna do me shit when I don't know basics of a game. I'd be down to go later on but not launch. nadakaineko Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I think the biggest thing atm is that some of the people who were confirmed for the Philly one took off work (et cetera) and may not be able to travel up to NYC, and it's sorta bad to just drop the whole thing at the last moment. I don't have any problems with NYC and I'd like go with you guys, but I don't wanna leave the others out if they can't make it.

mikenapalm Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 okay. so i have actually have off next friday night but work saturday night. if you guys want to go in on this, ill host Friday night for casuals and a learning session, crash and head out Saturday morning. (depending on how things go up there might need to cut out early to come home, because of work. i hope this wouldnt be too much of an issue.) My car is pretty amazing on gas, and im pretty sure i can get us to NYC and back on like $15. $20 tops. i can also use my dads EZ Pass so tolls wont be an issue. i can seat myself + 4 others. This sounds like it'd be a lot of fun if we can all work together to pull it off.

At this point in time it's looking like I absolutely can not make it up to NYC. If we all can manage to get together the night before, it makes traveling the day of waaaaaaay easier. Oh and we get to play/practice before goin in. That too. I live in the suburbs. Parking around my house really isnt an issue lol
